There is no need to immediately panic if it is not possible to do the cleaning the first time (as soon as the notification appears). You can do this later. This is just a signal that the drum is slightly dirty, and not an indicator of serious problems in the operation of the machine. As a rule, the alert is turned on once a month, but this is an approximate frequency. It all depends on how often and how actively you use your washing device.

Also, when you turn on the alert, clean the debris filter, otherwise the Eco cleaning program will not work effectively enough.

How to run the function?

If you are sure that everything is in order and you can start cleaning the drum, then follow these steps:

• First, turn on the machine itself. For a Samsung washing machine, this is pressing the “Power” button;
• using the “Mode Switch” wheel, select the Eco cleaning mode, this is the farthest division on the right;
• when operating this function, you do not need to select the temperature, since the program will do it on its own, the drum is cleaned at 70 degrees;
• To activate the mode, start it by pressing the “Start/Pause” key.

There is nothing complicated about using the Eco wash mode. You just need to follow safety precautions and set the necessary parameters correctly.Then just wait for the program to do its job.

Chemicals for internal cleaning

To make drum cleaning more effective, you can clean it yourself using special chemicals. However, when choosing them, it is worth considering that they must be absolutely safe, first of all, for you, and also not have a detrimental effect on machine parts.
