  • Phillips and flat head screwdrivers;
  • capacity for draining water.

In washing machines produced under different brands, it will be necessary to get to the drain pump in different ways. Manufacturers of the Beko, Indesit, Samsung, LG, Ardo, Whirpool, Candy, Ariston brands have simplified this process the most. In their machines, you can get to the pump through the bottom of the housing, since the lower part may be absent or easily unscrewed. A good example in this regard can be considered many models of Indesit washing machines.

Important! Before any manipulations with the washing machine, do not forget to turn it off and turn off the water tap.

So, we perform the actions:

  1. At the bottom of the washing machine, we find the panel and use a flat screwdriver to open it; some models have a special door.

  3. We tilt the machine a little back and substitute the container under water.
  4. Carefully counterclockwise unscrew the drain filter cover so that the remaining water comes out.

  5. Now, turning the pump counterclockwise, you need to drown it in the housing of the washing machine and carefully remove it through the bottom of the machine. For convenience, the car can be put on the left side (if you look at it from the side of the hatch).

  5. We find two screws and twist them.
  6. Now remove the clamp from the hatch and disconnect the cuff from the front housing.
  7. We disconnect the hatch lock device (you need to unclip the clamps).
  8. Remove the front of the case.

  • Unscrew the screw.
  • We substitute a container under the machine for water.
  • Disconnect the pipe clamp and remove the pipe.
  • Drain the water.
  • We disconnect the electric wires.

Important! When disassembling a washing machine for the first time, take pictures of each step, when you disconnect something, the photos will help to assemble the machine in its original state.

Clean the drain pump

Next, the drain pump is assembled and installed in its place. All actions are performed in reverse order. If the washing takes place without noise, water leakage and ends as usual, this means that the drain pump has been cleaned correctly.
