Washing with aspirin for white linen

washing aspirinThe most well-known things are things of white color, and therefore they need to be washed much more often than black or color. From this they can fade and become gray. The question arises how to wash them correctly so that they always remain white. There is one secret that we will talk about in the framework of this article.

What is aspirin for?

Our grandmothers didn’t have such a choice of powders and detergents, but at the same time, their white clothes were always snow-white and fresh. And all because they knew a lot of washing secrets using improvised means. One such remedy is aspirin or acetylsalicylic acid tablets, which is one and the same. In the pharmacy you can buy this substance with one of the following names:

  • Aspirin C;
  • Upsarin UPSA;
  • Acetylsalicylic acid;
  • Aspirin Cardio and others.

Note! Aspirin C tablets dissolve in water much better than acetylsalicylic acid tablets, despite the similar composition. Even in hot water, "acetyl" does not dissolve well.

Therefore, for washing, it is better to use Aspirin C tablets, previously crushed into powder. Well dissolved in water, it will better show its whitening properties, removing sweat stains and a gray tint. Such a bleaching agent will be relatively cheap than special bleaches.

Instructions for use

washing aspirinTo wash white things, you need to prepare a solution of aspirin. To do this, take 10 tablets of aspirin of 325 ml each and push them into a powder so that it dissolves better and faster in water. Then the aspirin powder is dissolved in 15 liters of warm water. They put things in this water and leave them for 8 hours, it is possible for the night.

After soaking, the laundry is washed as usual in the car or on your hands. If there is no time to soak things, then 2-3 tablets of aspirin can be crushed and put together with things directly into the washing machine and start the necessary washing mode. However, the best effect can be achieved only with soaking.

Other bleaching methods

There are several more ways to whiten things. The choice of whitening method will depend on the types of fabric from which the products are sewn. To get rid of sweat stains on cotton T-shirts and shirts, you can use laundry soap. Lather things and soak them in cold water for several hours. Then rinse and soap again, soaking them in hot water for another 1 hour. After soaking, wash the product in the usual way for you. Repeat if necessary.

You can bleach things with a solution of hydrogen peroxide. For this, 2 tablespoons of peroxide are dissolved in 2 liters of water. Then the solution is added to warm water, in which the clothes are soaked for one hour. After soaking, the laundry is washed and rinsed.

Note! Instead of peroxide, you can use a tablet of hydroperite, which is previously dissolved in one liter of water.

washing aspirinMost often, white is used to wash white things. Just do not forget that chlorine bleach can not be poured into the washing machine, so wash it with whiteness only by hand. For machine wash, modern bleaches are suitable. The method of application is indicated on the package.

When washing wool and silk products, bleach with chlorine should not be used. The best option is a laundry soap. The second method involves the use of ammonia. It is necessary to take:

  • 15 liters of water;
  • 12 tablespoons of salt;
  • 5 tablespoons of peroxide;
  • 5 tablespoons of ammonia;
  • washing powder.

All substances are thoroughly dissolved in water and soaked in silk and wool products for 30 minutes, after which they are washed as usual.

Important! Before bleaching a thing from silk, you must first wash it in cold water.

It is not always possible to soak and bleach things manually.When there is a washing machine, I want to simplify this procedure as much as possible. Washing and bleaching things in a typewriter has its secrets, we wrote about them in an article How to bleach laundry in a washing machine.

In conclusion, we note that before starting the procedure for washing white things, study the information on the label. You must know exactly at what temperature you can wash a thing, whether it can be bleached. We hope that the recipes described above will help you when washing white clothes.

    It is unclear what is the point of soaking, bleaching linen, if then washing it in a car. After it, things turn gray anyway.

      Soaking is necessary for the solution to penetrate deep into the fibers and it takes time for a chemical reaction.

      The machine must be looked after and washed separately. And do the so-called sanitation from time to time - that is, clean the car of accumulating dirt, chemicals inside!
