How to wash a pillow and anti-stress toys

You can wash toys and pillows with polystyrene filler without removing it. Just do not forget to check the cover for holes, even the smallest ones. Indeed, in the process of washing through holes, the filler will fall into the drum of the machine, and then it will clog drain filter. This may result in the machine requiring repair.

To avoid such a situation, you can put an anti-stress pillow or a toy in a special cover for washing or in a pillowcase and tie it well. Also, before washing pillows and antistress toys, you need to remove stains from the cover. To do this, take soap or detergent and rub it with a stain, leave the product for 20-30 minutes, then rinse it off. After that, wash the pillow completely in the machine or manually.

Choosing the right mode

You can wash anti-stress pillows and toys with polystyrene filling in the washing machine. Pillows with a different filler, or rather covers from such pillows, are also not forbidden to be washed in the car. What is needed for this?

1. Putting the toys in a bag or pillowcase, put them in the drum.
   

   Important! Do not stuff the drum with a large number of products. If there are many toys, divide them into several parts. They should rotate freely in the drum of the machine.

2. Pour gel detergent into the powder tray. It is best flush out of products, take a little less than the amount indicated on the package. You can pour the product into a special container and put it directly into the drum. Do not use bleach for washing, the product may deteriorate from them.
3. Set any of the following modes: “Delicate Wash”, “Hand Wash”, “Wash Blankets and Pillows”. Check the temperature of the water, it should not exceed 40⁰C. The number of revolutions during the spin cycle should not exceed 600, optimally - 400. If the machine does not support low speeds, refuse the spin cycle at all.
4. Set an extra rinse.
5. Start the washing process.

Regardless of whether you wash only covers or a pillow with polystyrene balls, it is recommended to choose the above washing modes. If the pillow is very dirty, then wash it first with soap or liquid detergent manually.

Dry the product

You can only dry the product naturally. Drying in the machine is strictly prohibited, as the product may be deformed. Since polystyrene balls inside the anti-stress pillows do not absorb water well, they will dry quite quickly.

Dry the anti-stress product in a horizontal position in a straightened form. The best place for drying is a balcony or a street in the shade, but anti-stress products do not need to be dried near a battery or in the sun. Shake the pillows before drying, evenly distributing the filler in the case.

If you dry the product vertically, hanging it on a rope, then be sure to beat them from time to time with your hands.

If the product was washed by hand, then it can not be wrung out strongly. It is allowed to press on the slag so that most of the water comes out. Then you can wrap the toy in a terry towel, excess water will be absorbed, and the product will dry faster.
