Children love to play, especially if the toy seems to have come out of a picture that the child just drew. Bringing drawn characters to life is not difficult and it gives your child a lot of joy and some magic. Today's master class will be dedicated to creating a fun toy that any child could draw.

I needed:
- multi-colored skeins of thread. It’s very good to use leftover yarn from large items, because we need several small multi-colored balls.
- Sintepon or synthetic padding for stuffing;
- convenient hook of the right size;
- scissors and needle and thread.

A fun toy for your child

How do kids draw a caterpillar? Using pencils, usually of different colors, they draw out the balls, then add eyes and legs to them. That's what we will do. First of all, let's start with the body and tie on five small balls. To make them whole, without a hole on one side, we start knitting with a convenient and universal Amigurumi loop. We tie it with five columns.

We tighten the loops and close the columns with a circle. Next we need to expand to the sides, so in each next row we evenly add five new single crochets.

We reach the required diameter in our expansion and begin knitting without additions.

We knit several rows up and narrow the ball, evenly decreasing five loops from each new row. We stuff the ball with padding polyester to make it dense and round. Leave a small hole untied.

We knit the rest of the balls in the same way.

We begin to form the body of the caterpillar. Using unfinished holes, we connect the balls together and sew them together with a needle and thread or the end of the yarn with which the ball was knitted. We connect the first three balls so that they are on the same level and together create an even strip.

We sew the remaining two balls with a slight offset.

After we finished assembling the caterpillar's body, all we had to do was make legs and eyes for it. We knit the legs in the same way as balls for the body, only much smaller in size and we do not form balls, but only knit halves. You will need eight of these legs. We stuff them with padding polyester and evenly sew the caterpillar body to each ball.
We make the eyes from a white and black circle, which we sew together and sew to the caterpillar. Use black thread to form a smile and you're done.

The cheerful colored caterpillar will please any child.
