Topiary - This is a kind of trees of happiness made from a wide variety of materials. They bring luck to their owners and give a charge of positive emotions. At one glance at this unusual miniature tree, the mood rises. In addition, the topiary can become an original decoration of any interior. DIY topiary will be a great gift for your friends and relatives.
We will make topiary from natural material - sisal. For work we will need: sisal of two colors, a plastic ball, acrylic paint in tone with sisal, sticks for sushi, twine, a pot, gypsum and glue.

Sisal happiness

So, for starters, take sisal and make balls of the size we need from it. The principle of operation here is the same as when rolling balls from plasticine - we separate a small piece of sisal and roll a fairly dense ball in our palms. We make balls of two colors. I got 52 balls, but you can have more or less, depending on their size.

When all the balls are ready, we will take up the trunk of our tree. In principle, any suitable wand can be used for the base of the barrel, having previously cleaned it. I had sushi sticks and I used them. So, take three sticks, put them together and tightly wrap them with twine, sometimes smearing with glue.

Now take a plastic ball and make a hole in it with scissors, slightly smaller than the diameter of the resulting barrel. Paint the ball with acrylic paint. When the paint dries, take the trunk of our topiary and insert it into the ball until it stops. We start gluing the sisal balls to our plastic ball. You can glue as your heart desires, both in a chaotic and in a symmetrical order.

Glue all the sisal balls. After that, the main part of our tree is completely ready.

Now it remains only to fix our topiary in a pot. To do this, we plant building gypsum directly in the pot, according to the instructions and “plant” our tree there. We wait until the "soil" hardens.

So, the gypsum is frozen. Now you need to hide it. To do this, apply a small amount of glue to the set gypsum, take a little sisal and wind it from the bottom of the trunk so that the gypsum is not visible. If the sisal sticks out in all directions, you can gently cut it around the edges with scissors.

In the end, carefully wipe the pot, cleaning it from plaster. We put our "Sisal happiness" on the shelf and enjoy the work done.
