Cut the potatoes into small cubes and send them to a boiling broth. Following him, add the cabbage, chopped into thin strips, into the broth. Finely chop the onion and begin to sauté it over medium heat in a preheated pan with the addition of vegetable oil. Grind the carrots and beets on a fine grater, adding them to the onion.

    um ... each housewife cooks in her own way ... and I have not met the same borscht among different housewives, but!
    I personally hate two things in borscht - tomato paste and beetroot salad. the beets will give a violet color, and both of these ingredients will make the borsch stupidly sweet (and what for sugar there? should sugar compensate for ACID). By the way, it’s still customary to put beans in borscht, and fillet for borscht is not ice, especially birds.
    Well, if you replace beets with normal borsch, fillet with pork with bone, or just a bird with bones (aka yavara yoko), take tomato juice instead of pasta (home-made is desirable), add beans ... but this will be a completely different recipe, right? )))
