Almost everyone can buy a postcard these days, but making one yourself will be more difficult and painstaking, but believe me, it’s worth it! After all, a purchased postcard may get lost among the same simple congratulation cards, but a handwritten postcard will always stand out and delight the soul of the heroes of the occasion.
If you still decide to make a card, then you will need colored cardboard, various satin ribbons and lace, simple glue and glitter glue (or nail polish), Swarovski glue stones or simple beaded beads, as well as adhesive applique. The components of the set depend on how you decided to decorate the card for your boyfriend or girlfriend.
First of all, select a congratulation, then print it in a Word (or other text) document.Please note that you should print on two pages so that the second half of the A4 sheet contains the congratulation itself, so we leave the first sheet blank and feel free to press Ctrl P, set it up and print. On the adjacent half, you can add a congratulation by hand, or simply paint it, or stick stickers.
Now let's get down to the main task of our card - decorating the front side. To begin with, take our lace or wide braid (in the absence of the first material) and carefully glue it on the side. This is a very important task in which you need to glue with a minimum amount of glue, otherwise you can ruin the postcard and your own efforts. Already on the glued lace, you can place a bow made of satin ribbon, as well as randomly place Swarovski stones or beaded beads.
Our next step will be to sign the celebration. At the top or bottom of the card, this is a wish, write with a marker the name of the holiday: Happy Birthday or Happy Wedding Day, in general, the holiday that will soon take place at the hero of the occasion. The name of the celebration itself can be made even more exclusive and colorful by highlighting several letters in the name with shiny glue (or varnish).
The last step is to attach the applique in the free space. Wait until the card dries and you can add it to your gift.
