The vibration walk is a brush with the bristles facing down, on which an electric motor with an eccentric and a battery are attached. When the motor shaft rotates, the eccentric (a load whose center of gravity does not coincide with the axis of rotation) rotates and creates vibration. Vibration is transmitted to the brush body and it begins to move. The direction of movement depends on many factors: the surface, the distribution of masses on the brush, the angle of inclination, the shape of the bristles, etc.

To build a vibration walker, we need a brush (purchased at a hardware store), an electric motor (purchased from radio stores or taken from an old toy), and batteries.

You can attach the motor to the brush in any way you like; in this case, double-sided tape was used. The eccentric can be made from sheet metal, for example, or by gluing a nut with epoxy. You can make a mount from a paper clip; in general, there is a lot of room for creativity.

Let's start it up and see what happens) If the brush moves incorrectly, then by changing the location of the motor or batteries, we will shift the center of gravity - this will change the nature of the movement.

Second option was proposed by the site evilmadscientist.com and is distinguished by its miniature size. The base is the head of a toothbrush, a motor from a cell phone vibration alert (the eccentric is attached to it at the factory), and a battery - a lithium tablet, such as, for example, installed on a computer motherboard.

In order to start the bot, you need to use a piece of adhesive tape to press the exposed wire to the battery contact. This bot was even called a “cockroach”) You can make several of these vibration walkers with your friends and organize competitions.

For vibration walkers, bristles are not a necessary factor; with sufficiently strong vibration, a tin can on a 3-legged support can also move.

If you run it on a sheet of paper, the markers will leave a mark with a curious pattern.
