How to remove rust from tools if it still hit them? There are various ways to deal with this common problem. Let's look at one of the simplest, but at the same time quite effective methods.

The tool kit for a wood drill was not used for a long time and was probably stored under inappropriate conditions, so it was completely oxidized. Other tools could be in place of the set in question - the result would be the same.
To remove rust from them, we will only have to prepare the following quite affordable and inexpensive materials and items:
- table vinegar;
- a bath;
- a container of water;
- cloth napkins;
- machine oil;
- gloves are water and acid resistant.
Instrument rust removal procedure
The idea of this method is based on the chemical interaction of table vinegar with oxidation products on the surface of instruments and their transfer to a state in which they cannot be retained on the metal surface.
The reaction products partially sink to the bottom, partially float to the surface and even, turning into gas, disappear into the atmosphere.
Organizing and running this process is pretty easy. In a plastic bath, pour a small amount of table vinegar from a bottle and put the tools into it so that they are completely immersed in the liquid.
Now we just have to observe the process of interaction of vinegar with rust, which will continue continuously for about 16 hours.
After the specified time period, it is clearly visible that the rust has almost completely exfoliated from the metal and is no longer integral with it.
Having put on protective gloves in our hands, we transfer the instruments from the bath with vinegar into a large container with water and carefully rinse them, turning, moving and pushing each other.
Pay attention to how much rust is left at the bottom of the container.
Then, pulling out accessories in one of the containers with water, wipe them dry with a soft rag that absorbs moisture well.
After that, we lubricate the tools on all sides with some kind of machine oil, removing excess with a rag, and thereby reliably and permanently protect the tool kit from oxidation.
It remains only to put the tools in the case and put it in a dry and well-ventilated place.
