Everyone in the household has glass containers, it is a pity to throw away, but I do not want to reuse it because of the unpresentable appearance. There is an easy way to give the bottle an original look.
What to prepare
The minimum tool kit: pliers, aluminum or soft iron wire, gas burner and any glass bottle.
To prevent hand burns, you must have gloves.
Work process
Take a piece of wire 0.5–1 mm in diameter with a length of about 20–25 cm, bend the end at a distance of 1/3 of the total length. Do not squeeze strongly; a loop should remain at the bend. Use a pair of pliers to rotate the loop several times. This is required to fix its size and exclude spontaneous further tightening.
Attach a loop to the neck of the bottle, rotate the loose ends several times around the throat. Use a pair of pliers to tighten the twist. It is not necessary to tighten very much - the neck may be damaged during further work. The task of contraction is the elimination of the likelihood of slipping the ligament.
Pass the remaining long end of the wire into the loop, reduce its size so that the length of the new jumper is equal to the length of the loop. Fasten the structure with the short end. As a result, the long end should be located in the center of the diameter of the bottle.
Make a handle out of the remaining wire, wrap the protruding end firmly around the loops. The connection must be reliable, while pulling the glass has to exert great effort.
Ignite the gas burner and begin to warm the neck at the location of the intended draw.
Warm carefully, do not rush, constantly rotate the bottle, hold it warmly in your hands - put on the table. If this rule is not followed, then the glass will necessarily crack due to the large difference in thermal expansion.
As soon as the glass heats up to red along the entire circumference of the diameter, begin to pull it out at an angle of about 45 degrees.
If this requires a lot of effort, then repeat the heating, only now achieve a higher temperature. There is no need to rush, the glass should become malleable.
After bending, re-warm the neck along its entire length to minimize internal stresses in the glass.
Conclusion
After a little practice, you can not only bend the neck at different angles, but also twist it with a screw, make it long and thin, etc. Such dishes can later be used for various drinks, and as an exclusive flower vase.
