Flexible hoses today are available in almost all household plots; they are used for watering plants, washing cars, laying temporary water pipes and other household needs. Sometimes there are situations when cracks appear on completely new hoses. The reason is strong impacts, collisions with the hose from heavy vehicles, etc. There is no point in covering leaks with tape for several reasons. Firstly, such a connection cannot withstand high pressure and will definitely begin to undermine over time - the hose is soft, and the tape will not be able to be pulled tightly. Secondly, tape or tape quickly becomes damaged when dragged over hard surfaces. Thirdly, the damaged area is easily bent, at which time the electrical tape comes off and leaks appear again.
How to seal a flexible hose

Cutting off the damaged section and then connecting two pieces of flexible hose with a metal tube is problematic. Why? It is not always possible to find such a pipe; there is no hacksaw or grinder with clamps of the appropriate sizes. There is an easier way to quickly and reliably repair a damaged area.

What materials and tools are required

To repair a hose, prepare a piece of plastic tube of approximately the same diameter as the hose being repaired. It is necessary to select according to the outer diameter of the hose and the nominal diameter of the tube. The length should be such that it covers the damaged areas by at least 2–3 cm. Gluing is done with epoxy resin; a mounting knife is required to cut the materials.

How to seal a cracked hose

Prepare epoxy glue. It consists of two components; you need to mix them thoroughly in a small container in the proportions indicated in the instructions. Inspect the location of the damage. If they were formed as a result of an impact or collision, then the cracks appear symmetrically on both sides.
Clean the area from dirt, degrease it, you can use alcohol or any solvent. The cleaner the surface, the higher the adhesion parameters, the more reliable the patch will be.

Cut a piece of the required length from the plastic pipe, work carefully, do not injure your hands. The blade of the mounting knife is very thin and bends easily, and it is made of alloy steel with additional heat treatment. Such metal breaks quickly.
Place the tube vertically and cut along its entire length. Never try to cut along the axis while lying down; the tube may rotate and the knife blade will seriously injure your fingers. Clean the inside surface; technical dust often accumulates there.

Check whether the patch fits in length and diameter. Place it on the flexible hose and see if the damage is completely closed.

Everyone is on the phone - pick up the phone. Using a long stick, thoroughly coat the inside surface with epoxy resin. Do not save material; the entire internal area of the nominal diameter must be processed.

Apply glue to the surface of the hose following the above recommendations.Pay special attention to damaged areas.

Place the tube on the hose and turn it slightly clockwise and counterclockwise. This is necessary so that the glue is evenly distributed between the two surfaces and completely fills the voids.

Carefully smooth any excess epoxy along the slot. Seal the ends of the plastic tube.

Conclusion

The only drawback of the described method of repairing holes in a flexible hose is that it cannot be bent in the sealed area. But this is not critical; if you use it carefully, the hose will serve properly for the period allotted by the manufacturer.

soft hose with epoxy resin? Oh well. There is no metal pipe of the required diameter, but there are plenty of plastic ones. In such cases, moment glue works better. but only if the NK hose is silicone and not polyethylene.
