How to paint a bath

The metal bath has a long service life. It is installed by the developer at the time of delivery of the finished house or by the apartment owner at the time of purchase of the property. It is changed much less frequently during renovations or interior changes. This work is labor-intensive and requires a lot of time and effort. During the replacement period, the apartment is filled with dust. The opportunity to wash disappears. Therefore, people resort to such a procedure extremely rarely in exceptional cases.

Please note that 1 can is enough for 1 full layer of paint. The cover should be dense, uniform, but not thick.

The working process:

1. The bathtub should be thoroughly cleaned using a metal float and sandpaper. You must go through all sections conscientiously. If there are hard swellings that cannot be removed by available means, they should be opened with a kitchen knife. Otherwise, with further use, they will burst and ruin all efforts and ruin the fresh coating.
2. Then apply cleaning powder to the entire surface area using a regular double-sided kitchen sponge and rub.
3. Rinse off the detergent thoroughly under running water.
4. Leave the bath to dry overnight. The enamel does not adhere well to damp walls; swellings and bubbles will appear, which will subsequently open, which means that all efforts will be nullified.
5. In the morning, wipe the walls with a dry cloth to check whether all the liquid has dried and to remove any possible dust.
6. Take a can of spray paint. The bottom layers should be matte, the top glossy. Shake it well for 15-20 seconds.
7. Apply the first spray onto a piece of waste newspaper or inside a bottle cap. This must be done in order to express the liquid that has stagnated at the inlet; it always has a darker shade.
8. Then process the walls from the edges from top to bottom.
9. The product should be sprayed at a distance of 25-30 cm from the surface. In this way, optimal girth of the plane will be achieved. You need to move slowly, but without delay, otherwise the layer will turn out uneven.
10. Spray until the paint in the bottle runs out.
eleven.Leave to dry for 20-30 minutes.
12. If the surface of the bathtub is severely damaged, there are many rough spots, then another matte layer should be applied.
13. Apply gloss paint as a finishing touch.
14. Leave to dry for 4-5 hours.
15. After the required time has passed, dilute the vinegar in water, and use a regular sponge to go over the entire surface of the bathtub, properly wetting the walls. This elixir will help the paint adhere better and dry faster.
