Ingredients:
- fresh frozen squid 300 g.
- corn flakes without sugar 150 g.
- corn starch 2 tbsp,
- egg 1 pc.,
- sunflower oil 300 ml.,
- dried garlic granules 0.25 tsp,
- pinch of salt,
- a mixture of ground peppers a pinch.
Cooking procedure
Prepare everything you need. If the squid is frozen, let it thaw in the refrigerator. To quickly and easily clean squid carcasses, you need to pour boiling water over them. All dark films will separate on their own; all that remains is to wash them off under running water. Cut the carcass itself into rings about 0.5 centimeters thick, and the tail into the same strips. They can also be breaded and deep-fried, or used to prepare other dishes.
For breading, prepare starch by mixing it with salt, garlic and ground pepper.
Grind sugar-free corn flakes into crumbs in any convenient way. You can grind it in a mortar or put it in a thick plastic bag and walk it with a rolling pin. You don't really need flour, you should also get some large pieces.
Whisk the egg in the third container. When everything is ready, you can start. First, coat a few squid rings in cornstarch.
Then dip into egg.
And breaded in corn flakes.
Place the squid rings on a flat surface and put them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, but you can store such preparations for up to 6 hours. During this time the crust will harden well.
Heat sunflower oil in a thick-walled saucepan or frying pan. Drop in a few slices of squid. If bubbles appear immediately, it means the oil is warm enough.
Cook for a minute on each side.
Place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
Serve immediately, you can add a slice of lemon, ketchup works well as a sauce.
