This simple, and most importantly necessary device for work can be made by anyone at home with their own hands. It will take no more than 15 minutes, but working with a soldering iron will be beneficial and convenient.

What do we need?! A ballpoint pen and a thin strip of solder.

Agree: unwinding the solder every time or holding the coil in your hands when soldering is not always convenient. To do this, we will do this: take the paste from the pen and wind solder onto it as in the photo:

We will immediately make several wound blanks for the future.

We insert it into a ballpoint pen case and get a convenient soldering device.

It’s very convenient: we hold a soldering iron in one hand and a device with solder in the other.

As a child, we also attached a wheel to a lighter - you twist it and the solder comes out... Everything new is poorly forgotten old, we have to remind...

I have such a contraption, it’s just lovely, it supplies solder automatically, it runs on a 3.6 volt battery. the motor in it with a gearbox from an old CD player, it moved the laser back and forth. You can also remove them from a laptop with a DVD drive; they are also used on lenses for digital and cassette cameras. a micro connecting rod is made, with a bearing from a cooler or video camera; they have a film tensioner in a large roller. I'll post it in photos later.

Something similar from China is also on sale. Now, if the DIYer managed to add a reliable and convenient solder supply button in the same 15 minutes, then this would be many times more relevant.

In our stores, solder with flux is already sold in similar jars, but not in yours?

Great idea, especially the part where it is recommended to wrap the solder onto the PASTE. Hee hee!

Not very good, I would say. How will you apply solder from the pen refill? Pull with your fingers or something else? But the video with the lighter wheel is much better. You turn the wheel and the solder comes out.

I’ll say right away that the idea is not new. I have something similar in my kit. But the main thing is that the author used material (a pen) for this, which could simply be thrown away as unnecessary. It's time for the site's author to open the "Second Life..." section. I already tried to do something similar, but they didn’t understand me. Although let’s say there is an idea “The second life of a felt-tip pen”. Let's say it will help those who have thick tin
