Before laying the tiles, it is imperative to level the surface of the wall by treating it with a primer.
Start laying tiles from bottom to top. In this sequence: lay the first row from the floor and then sequentially lay it to the desired height.
Please ensure that the tiles are laid strictly horizontally and use special wedges or plastic crosses. They will allow you to maintain the same spacing of the tiles from each other.
Apply the adhesive mixture vertically to the wall using a comb or notched trowel.
When installing the tile, you need to press it down a little so that there is good adhesion to the adhesive and the surface. Always use a level when laying tiles, this will ensure that the tiles are laid accurately vertically and horizontally.
If the tile does not fit into the corner, it needs to be cut. To do this you need to have a tile cutter. But if you have started laying tiles for the first time, then it is better to use a grinder. Prepared trimmings for the corners should be laid last.
The same principle applies to laying tiles on the floor. In this case, choose the direction of work at random. But it’s better to do this from the far corner towards the doorway.
To ensure that the rows are laid evenly and parallel, it will be more convenient to lay the tiles under a stretched thread or fishing line. Use a building level to ensure that deviations in installation are corrected in a timely manner.
Please be aware that the adhesive will completely harden within 24 hours. After completion of the work, the surface of the tile must be thoroughly cleaned of any remaining adhesive and all seams filled with grout mixture.
