With the advent of winter, it is time for colds and flu! And most often it begins to hurt the throat. Of course there are a lot of different medicines like Strepsils, etc. But since all these drugs are quite expensive, I want to offer you a more budgetary, completely natural, home-made option. This recipe is so simple and effective that everyone can cook it! To prepare therapeutic candies, we need:

Calamus root (sold at the pharmacy).
Sugar.
Mint.
Karkade.
Ginger (optional).

Do-it-yourself throat candy making

First of all, you need to pour a little boiled water into any metal dish.

After which we pour there the root of Air, Mint and Karakde. The number of ingredients varies depending on how many candies you want to get! I took literally a pinch of everything.

Now we put all this on the fire and cook for about 10 minutes. Watch the size of the fire, since all our liquid is very actively boiled and at the same time it boils very much.

When everything is ready, filter our mixture through a sieve in order to separate the liquid from the leaves of mint and calamus.

And finally, we proceed to prepare the candies themselves. We take a metal plate and pour sugar into it and pour the broth in a ratio of 1 to 3, that is, one tablespoon of the broth three tablespoons of sugar. And cook until syrup! I did it in 1.5 minutes.

Now quickly remove from the stove and pour the candies into molds! And we put them in the refrigerator so that they freeze faster.

And in the end, we get these healing candies. The most important thing is not to digest the syrup, otherwise the candies will be bitter, which is not very pleasant!
