There are other options for arch design. For example, its vaults can be cut directly from solid wood.But this method cannot be called simple, since the trunk can split at any time both during processing and after creating the arch. This means that the structure will not be strong and durable.
An interesting way is to combine different types of wood materials. In this case, bars are taken as a basis, onto which veneer with a convex surface facing outward is simply glued. The result will be a kind of “veneered arch”.
Although this option seems quite practical, its implementation is too complex. This procedure should be undertaken only by those home owners who are accustomed to painstaking and lengthy work.
