So, you will need:
- - packaging of puff pastry,
- - 3-4 medium-sized apples, preferably sweet and sour varieties,
- - 1 egg,
- - 2 tablespoons of sugar,
- - roller for cutting the dough into a mesh (optional).
Take the dough out of the freezer and wait until it defrosts and comes to room temperature. Then roll it out slightly with movements away from you. You shouldn’t be too zealous, otherwise the puff pastries won’t turn out fluffy.
Cut two rectangles of approximately the same size. Go along one of them with a roller for cutting the dough into a mesh, stepping back a little from the edge. If you don’t have a roller at hand, you don’t have to do this. However, it is better to buy such an assistant for your kitchen; with its help you can bake a lot of delicious and beautiful pastries. There are many such rollers on sale now. The simplest option is plastic, with a working surface of 7-10 cm. It will be quite enough for making puff pastries. Cut all the remaining dough in the same way.
Wash the apples, peel the skins and cut into small pieces. It is best to take sweet and sour varieties, then the puff pastries will be sour. Add sugar and stir.
Place the filling on the prepared piece of dough.
Cover the top with the piece you rolled over. And pinch the edges.
Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Beat the egg with a whisk and brush the puff pastries with it. Bake at 180 degrees for approximately 20 minutes. Once browned, remove and transfer to a plate. After this you can enjoy yourself.
