Step by step instructions with photos

Step 1: Cut the tape into pieces.
Satin Ribbon Dahlia

Cut a silk ribbon 2.5 cm wide of soft pink or any other shade (optional) into 5 cm pieces. In total, you will need to make 28 such pieces.
Step 2: make a petal.
Satin Ribbon Dahlia

Take one of the segments.
Fold it twice in length, face up. Stretch the central fold well with your fingers.
Satin Ribbon Dahlia

On one side of the cut line, lower the fabric down from the central fold by about one third. After that, lift the tape up exactly to the center line. Lower the remaining fabric from the midline down.

Repeat the above operations with the rest of the tape on the other side. Grasp all the formed folds carefully with tweezers.
Satin Ribbon Dahlia

Pull back the beginning of the segment by approximately 0.5 cm, after which the section from the central fold to the edges is cut diagonally. Fuse this part over the candle fire and seal with your fingers. This step is not necessary, but with it your petals will look much more neat.

On the other hand, make the same fold symmetrically.
Pinch the newly formed folds with tweezers. Fuse them over the candle fire and seal them with your fingers. One petal you made.

Step 3: collect the flower.
Satin Ribbon Dahlia

From a piece of felt of white color measuring 5x5 cm, cut a neat circle.
Satin Ribbon Dahlia

Glue the petals symmetrically onto the circle using universal glue or a glue gun. This will be the first tier.
Satin Ribbon Dahlia

For the second tier, add another 8 petals to the felt. Glue these petals so that each upper one is located exactly between the two lower ones.
To make the third tier, add another 6 petals to the craft. When creating this circle, move back from the previous one by about 0.5 cm.
