For alteration will require:
- old denim skirt (or trousers),
- unnecessary slippers with durable soles,
- lining fleece,
- pattern paper,
- ruler
- scissors,
- pins
- thread with a needle.
To begin, make a pattern.
The template shows an example of a pattern of boots 38-39 of size. But it is easy to adapt to any size. It is enough to only increase or decrease the size of part No. 1. Try to cut it out of any other fabric and attach it to your foot to make sure that it matches the size.
Part No. 2 is the back side of the shaft, and if the leg is full, then the width of the second part can also be slightly increased.
Part No. 3 is the front side of the shaft, and it’s very convenient for her to use pockets from a remodeled skirt or trousers.
When cutting, do not forget to leave allowances for the seams.
Cut out part No. 1 for each boot from both denim and fleece. Connect them together and sew, thus insulating the future product.
Cut off the upper part from old slippers. Sew part No. 1 to the fabric piping running along the sole with carefully firm threads.
Cut two pieces of No. 2 from both materials. Connect the parts corresponding to each other.
Sew the backs of the bootlegs on the sides, they should be located on top of parts number 1.
Open the pockets from the skirt (or cut out two details No. 3) and also insulate them with fleece. Put on your shoes and fix with pins the position of the front parts of the shafts. Remove and put on your boots again to adjust the boot width necessary for your own comfort.
After that, manually sew the front parts of the shafts over parts 1 and 2 by hand in a blind seam.
Warm boots are ready.
