The Christmas holidays invariably bring with them a warm atmosphere and good mood. Maybe that's why you want to fill your home with cute things and decor. Hand made creations are perfect for this – sincere, positive and incredibly attractive.

We invite you to activate your creative abilities and create a truly unique thing yourself - cute gnomes for the Christmas tree or for decoration. A detailed process with illustrations will help with this.

Required materials and tools:

  • – fabric 2 colors,
  • – felt, a piece of gauze or bandage,
  • – cotton wool,
  • - artificial fur,
  • - needle and thread.

Stages of work:

1. Cut out a square from the fabric, fold it in half and sew it together to form a rectangle-cylinder.

2. From the inside out, along the cocotte side of the rectangle, we make gathers and tie them with thread.

3. Turn the body blank right side out. Fill the resulting bag with cotton wool and tie the hole again.

4. Now we form a spout from gauze and cotton wool.Immediately cut out a triangle of fur - the future beard of the gnome.

5. Using a thread and a needle, we attach the prepared parts to the bag body.

6. Roll a felt triangle into a cone. You can slightly crumple the correct shape for realism. We fix the cap to the base.

7. All that remains is to make the limbs. We cut out rectangles from another fabric and sew them together so that we get long narrow strips. We attach felt palms and feet to them.

8. Sew the legs and arms to the body. If desired, we complement the image of the gnome with flowers, pine cones and ribbons.

By combining fabrics by color and texture, you can create a whole settlement of gnomes at home. All you need is patience and the desire to create!
