To make a real solar battery at home is almost impossible. For this, you need not only factory specialized equipment, but special chemicals that you simply can’t find.
But if it suddenly hurts you, then you can build a low-power solar battery from diodes.

I will build a solar panel that will produce two volts of voltage and a current of half an ampere. By connecting such a solar battery to a boost converter, in bright sunshine, it is quite possible to charge a cell phone. To do this, I need 100 silicon diodes in a glass case. I had just a hundred diodes on hand.
I took the packaging with diodes.

And without pulling it out of the tape, he began to tart the output of contacts.

Then, he began to connect in parallel in groups of 11 pieces. And already connected these groups in series.

The result is this:

Further, I glued these “rails” to the wooden substrate with super glue.

I cover the reconciliation, pre-cut, thin Plexiglas. And fasten with screws.

That's all. Half an hour was spent on everything about everything.

Solar test

I connect the multimeter to the output and direct the panel to the sun.

It turned out - "1.7"

I close it with my hand - the voltage immediately drops.
I also played and got almost two volts.

You can also try to put all the diodes in a “heap” denser and focus the light rays with a lens or reflector.

Did about this about 50 years ago from diodes D9B

"I will build a solar panel that will give two volts of voltage and a current of half an ampere"
Dreaming is so simple, but in reality 0.5 A cannot be obtained from such a photo battery! And the power is small: 100 * 0.45V * 50μA = 2.4 mW, that is, the current will be 2.4mW / 2V = 1.2 mA.
