The cutest creatures are cats. The gracefulness of their walks, tenderness, soft hair, playfulness prompt people to write poetry about them, capture them in paintings, and make various crafts. And today we will make a cat out of wool by dry felting. It will be a spotted kitten, in the paw it will hold a pink heart. To do this, prepare the following:
- The coat is of four types: black, gray, brown, pink.
- Felting needles - thin, thick and reverse.
- Foam rubber.
- Yellow large cat eyes made of plastic.
- Oil pastel, brush.
- Clay Moment.
Make the head
For the head, take black wool, and finely tearing it into pieces, form a mass in an oval. Put on the foam and with a thick needle No. 32 roll the oval. After a small seal (so that the ball does not fall apart, but remains loose), proceed to processing with a thin needle No. 40. Go through the entire surface of the oval so that it keeps its shape.
After, with the same needle, draw holes for the eyes (in the middle of the muzzle). Try on the eyes and paste them.
Now let's take care of the cheeks. Add volume to the bottom of the face with black hair. Seal up. Put gray wool in the center. Seal with a needle.
We begin to draw with a needle the features of the nose and mouth.
Add a little pink wool to the spout.
Also, in order to make a spot over the eye, take a gray color and apply it in the right place, densifying it well.
Against this gray background, we also make a gray eyelid at the top of the eye. Pile a small piece of wool separately with an oval, and leave the attachment area free. Stick to the eye.
Eyelids on the other eye make black. Separately, you also have to dump the ears. Tear off the strip from the wool ribbon, fold it with a scarf and let it go, making sure that the ear does not shine through. In the center, place a black cloud of wool.
Roll your ears to your head, make a slight bend. To do this, often go to the place of the alleged bending with a needle and bend. On the black part of the muzzle at the top, put a brown speck with the approach to the ear. Also apply a similar speck under the eye. Tighten everything firmly so that the surface relief is smooth without tubercles. Here is such a nice face we have succeeded.
Torso, paws, tail
To make the body, it is necessary to pile an oval of black wool. Start spotting the oval.
Paws do also with spots. Twist the wool tightly and roll it with a needle until it is densified. Draw fingers. Tack paws and tail to the body.
Next, sew the cat's head to the torso. Withdraw the needle at the crown of the head and back to the neck. At the crown, leave a small eyelet on which the key holder will then be attached.
It remains to add volume to the tummy, so we will supplement it with brown hair.
Decorate the paws on the pads with pink wool. Complement your shirt with gray wool. Make a heart out of pink wool.
The next stage is the cat’s sweeping. Here we will be assisted by a return needle. Pass through it the entire surface of the muzzle except the ears, eyelids and the gray area in the center. Also treat the surface of the trunk, paws, and do not touch the tail. Then cut the long hair as you need.
There is one final touch that I consider very important - pastel tinting of the features of the muzzle.Most often they use brown and beige colors. With a clerical knife, finely chop and grind a piece of chalk into the powder and apply a thin brush No. 000 to tone on the features of the face. This is the area of the eyelids, nose and mouth.
Attach a key holder to the loop on the crown of the cat’s head, with which you can hang it on the bag. On this, work on a felted kitten can be considered completed.
