Making donuts at home is not difficult even for novice housewives. And the recipe proposed here will allow you to cook not only delicious, but also healthy dessert, because it will be based on cottage cheese.

You will need the following products:
  • Cottage cheese - 1 pack (180-200 grams),
  • 1 large egg (C0),
  • Sugar - 100 grams
  • Wheat flour - about 300 grams,
  • Dough baking powder - 5-7 grams (1 serving bag).

To get the perfect dough, first mix the cottage cheese, egg, sugar, baking powder and most of the flour (200-250 grams). The dough will be very soft and probably stick to your hands. Add the rest of the flour gradually, kneading the dough until it starts to stick off from your hands, but is still tender and soft.

Next, give the future dumplings a "rest" - put the dough in a plastic bag and leave it in a cool place, you can in the refrigerator, for about 20 minutes. The dough will become "obedient" to work.

On the working surface, roll out the dough with a thickness of about 7-10 mm.
Using a special shape or regular cup, cut out round donut blanks. Keep in mind that during frying they increase quite a lot in volume.

You can leave the dumplings just round, or you can cut out the middle. Again, special molds or improvised means, for example, caps from plastic bottles, will come to the rescue. Collect the dough left after cutting blanks into a bun and use again.

Donuts are deep-fried. In a cafe, they are cooked in large deep fryers. At home, in order to save oil, it is better to fry donuts in a small bucket.
Pour oil into the dishes at least 1-1.5 cm. Then the donut will be immersed in it halfway. You can check the oil temperature with a small piece of dough. Thrown into heated oil, it should rise almost immediately and fry quickly, but not burn.

Then from the other side. This happens very quickly, literally 20 seconds on each side, so do not go far from the stove.

Fold finished donuts first on a paper towel so that excess oil drains into it. You will be surprised, but donuts cooked at home will be almost non-greasy. Oil inside is almost not absorbed. Therefore, such a dessert can be safely called useful.

Put the finished donuts on the dish. In principle, you can already enjoy.

And you can sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving. If you use regular powder, then it is better to sprinkle donuts immediately before serving. But, now on sale is the so-called "non-melting" powder. It can be applied immediately after preparation.

    I usually make donuts out of condensed milk, but this recipe is better! I really like curd baked goods.
