I love technology quilling. It all started with simple flowers, then there were beautiful voluminous paintings. And at a new stage, I wanted to master contour quilling. The work was just amazing, girlfriends envy when they see it. And most importantly, I did not have to twist the spirals for hours and make other elements. Contour quilling is a technique in which stripes are glued with an edge. You can glue lines of even stripes or bend long and short stripes as your imagination suggests.
Today I will teach you how to create a picture of “Pregnant” using the contour quilling technique. To work, you need a minimal set of materials:
- a sheet of thick white cardboard;
- scissors;
- a toothpick;
- black stripes for quilling;
- tube with PVA glue;
- stencil drawing;
- frame;
- a simple pencil.
First, on the Internet, I found a beautiful image of a girl "in position", which is made with a pencil. You can use any graphic drawings, coloring. The picture was printed on the printer.

Then she took a thick white cardboard, laid a sheet with a picture on it and with a simple pencil painted the entire image. As a result, his fingerprint appeared on the cardboard. This method is convenient because in the process you can move away from the circuit at your discretion, and there will be no trace of a pencil on a finished craft.

Further from the quilling kit, I selected only black stripes 6 mm wide.

Then I cut each in half to make them even thinner. Thanks to this, the future image will be more delicate and delicate. The texture will not suffer at all.
Painting Pregnant

Started filling the image with stripes. I applied a thin line of PVA glue directly from the tube to the print of the drawing. I applied a strip with an edge, cut off the excess end and fixed the workpiece with my fingers.

This is quite painstaking work, so there is no need to rush. First, I glued the longest elements, and then proceeded to consolidate the shorter, secondary ones. Each part must be allowed to dry, so that the subsequent ones are easier to fix on cardboard.

Gradually, the figure took shape. I attached all the small parts with a toothpick. You can use miniature tweezers.

This is how almost finished work looks, it remains only to fill the empty space.

And this is a kind of finished work. Believe me, live she looks much more attractive. Just the camera is not able to accurately convey the texture and bump of the image.
