Santa Claus from colored paper

In schools and kindergartens, competitions for the best creative work among pupils and parents began. New Year's theme is quite extensive. In some groups it was decided to make a mitten from improvised materials, in others - a Christmas tree, in third - New Year's toys. My daughter and I already knitted a mittens with fairy-tale characters (mouse-scraper, frog-jump, etc.). At home, I got up to a dozen of the most diverse paper Christmas trees. So, today we will make a simple Christmas toy. It will be Santa Claus.
Children of primary school age will cope with the craft of colored paper without outside help. Such work is not yet possible for kids.
So for crafts preparing:

• glue
  
• scissors
  
• white and color paper
  
• pencils.

Let's start with the design of a fur coat and hat of Santa Claus. This is an integral element. It is necessary to form a cone from red paper. The ways to create this geometric shape are different. Someone cuts a circle, and then glues it into a cone. We used to twist a cone from a rectangular sheet. We level the base with scissors.

Next, you need to make a furry for the cap and fur coat. We will need two white strips with a width of about 10 mm. We bend the strip along in half, and along the edge opposite the bend, we go over with scissors and cut a narrow short fringe.

We glue the furry bottom of the fur coat. We immediately determine the height of the cap, mark the edge of the headdress with a white border.

Next, we cut out an elongated trapezoid from the album sheet, carefully round all four corners. Immediately cut into the resulting figure thin long strips - a beard. At the end of the work, we will go through a scissor blade through each hair to fluff a snow-white beard.

In gouache, watercolor, felt-tip pens or pencils we draw the face of Santa Claus. A distinctive feature of the hero's appearance is a thick eyebrow and mustache.

The hair of our craft is also cut out of paper. No complications.

It remains to stick all the details into place. Santa Claus from colored paper is ready. Of course, if you wish, you can continue the work, in particular, arrange the hero with arms and legs. However, in the presented form, the craft also looks great.

Put Santa Claus next to a paper Christmas tree. The tree is made of multi-colored (white and green) hands. Next to children's crafts, put tinsel. It is a pity that there were no silver items at home. We’ll fix a misunderstanding this weekend. All the same, you have to prepare for the matinee.
