» » Do-it-yourself plasma ball

In the role of our plasma ball there will be an ordinary incandescent lamp, but the high-frequency source of high frequency is quite simple. In addition, from our source it is possible to build not only a plasma ball, but also to demonstrate beautiful experiments with high voltage: arc and corona discharges, Jacob's staircase, a fluorescent lamp illuminated in the hand, etc.

Electrically current is not a toy! Before starting work, I highly recommend that you familiarize yourself with the safety precautions in the article about Jacob's ladder.

High Frequency High Frequency Source

Appointment

Demonstration of beautiful experiments with high voltage: arc and corona discharges, Jacob's staircase, fluorescent lamp, illuminating in the hand, etc.

Short description

The main element is the fuel assembly (Transformer Output String). Thanks to the original self-generating circuit, it was possible to obtain a voltage of about 90 kVHigh power, reliability and efficiency. The generator circuit on the line - the blocking generator - is given below:

In this circuit, a converted transformer from a TVS-110L6 or TVS-110LA tube TV is used. The primary winding is removed and replaced with a home-made one, with a small number of turns. The rectifying unit is 12 volts and current up to 5 amperes. The turns of the fuel assembly are somewhere 1-2 = 5 turns, 3-4 = 25 turns of wire with a diameter of 1mm. In general, everything is selected experimentally.
A transistor is more powerful like CT 927 or any other with a good gain and power.

The assembled circuit may look like this:

Or so:

On the basis of this converter, you can conduct your first experiments in the field of high voltage. These are Jacob’s small stairs, an ion engine, ozone production, electric ignition, ignition of an arc that can easily burn glass, and much more.

Our task is to build a plasma ball. To do this, we take an incandescent lamp and connect the transformer output to it.

A discharge in an incandescent lamp, the first electrode is a finger, the second is a spiral inside. Inside the flask is not vacuum, but argon gas, under low pressure:

BE CAREFUL ! HIGH VOLTAGE DANGEROUS FOR LIFE !!!!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU !

Will do. But in some lines, high-voltage voltage rectification circuits are built in. If you do not delete them, then the stringer will become really life-threatening!

it’s clear that toluo is another problem for my stitcher with 14 legs, and the 1st and 13th weren’t. and even from the coil itself a separate wire comes out more precisely a spring, as I understand it, this is grounding. and in the telemaster’s workshop they even said that they don’t know how to connect a line source outside of TV

Low voltage winding with naga is not needed! read carefully - we wrap it ourselves! Well, a high-voltage one should have two conclusions: one on the common wire, the second on the lamp.

from 500 microfarads and above, voltage depending on the transformer. If trans is 12 volts, then the cander is from 15 volts and above

what will it become life threatening ???
and is it possible to determine with an ohmmeter whether there is a rectifier in the stringer ???

    and further
it is not clear how the generator works, because the transistor will open when the current flows in the opposite direction, it turns out that it will always be closed ...

Oh God, have you ever heard of a blocking generator? And try about the meter.
For reference: a high voltage of a high frequency is practically not felt by a person, and a constant voltage tends to accumulate and can become life threatening!

Well, the wire goes separately from the multiplier. In theory, if only we take from the legs of the transformer, then nothing will happen. Or not?

If you want to assemble one from a stringer, then buy a 20W energy-saving lamp. Remove the ballast. Take a 5kV capacitor with any capacity. One output from the ballast is directly connected to the low-voltage winding, and the other through a capacitor. And we stick it all in 220. All super arcs about 5cm work fatty and bright. Only ballast can burn very easily. I already burned 3 pieces (((

can be more detailed ... this is not the first time I've heard about this, but they will not normally explain how to do it anywhere. it turns out both outputs from the ballast to the low-voltage winding of the stringer to solder through the conder? and the native resistor, which is at the input of the ballast (220v), leave?

please tell me, I found an old gadget, I don’t know how to connect and there’s not even a name. And how can I check it without a special device, with a multimeter? he doesn’t measure something with a multimeter, and on the tweeters he found the legs that are together, and he has only 11 legs, it turned out 5 legs, 2 legs and 4 legs

Makcimka1316 I won’t say exactly where, but CT 805 was installed everywhere. For example, when I bought a large radiator, then such a transistor already hung on it.

I ask you to ignore my previous post. CT 805 breaks through immediately, already 2 killed, but CT 837 earned.

    [b] Horber [/ b],
Note: There are various modifications of the KT805. Such as AM BM, etc. and each has different characteristics, respectively, and maybe a different modification in your circuit would not break through. It’s easier to put another one, but the effect may not be so bright.

Ilya, 6 volts is not suitable for 500 microfarads, at least 1000 for 16 volts is needed, plus 0.1 microfarads for it (import marking 104, do not pay attention to the letters on the conder) you need to solder in parallel to the legs of 1000 microfarads .
I will answer the following question. What is this for? If you will be powered by a comp power supply unit or a battery charger, then all sorts of nasty things will go along with the voltage, but in order to reduce them you need a conductor of at least 1000 microfarads of 16 volts. You can also put a throttle for improvement, you can read about it in Google. It will not be worse from these measures, because they are needed to suppress any muck which is enough at the output of BP.

Hurrah!!!!! It works. For information, I did it in 2 hours, hf, it works without resistors, I powered it from the 12v unit, I started 13 years from 1 time! But on the secondary there is little power, I hold the current with my hand, it feels, but it doesn’t hurt to tell me how to make it more powerful I used KT805 ALMOST NOT WARMED

What should I do if, when I connect the circuit (from resistors to the line driver) to the computer PSU, the PSU turns off, and if I disconnect the circuit, it works?
