The first step is to make the insole. To do this, trace the sole of the flip flop
Now you need to close the top of the flip flop. And to do this, you need to outline a pattern on any thin paper such as newspaper or advertising leaflets, applying it to the top of the slap and tracing the contours with a marker.
Then we cut out our insole and the top of the future slipper from thick fabric such as denim. Glue it with silicone sealant or rubber glue. The advantage of the sealant is that it does not stain the fabric, does not leave a stain when gluing, the disadvantage is that when used, air penetrates into the tube and then almost half of the sealant turns into solid silicone, so it must be used immediately.
When the backing made of thick fabric is ready and has covered the relief of the flip-flop, you can proceed to the front part of the slipper.For this, fabric from an old paita with a fleece surface inside was suitable, but you can use any fabric like a flannel. Fold the fabric right side inward and mark the insole with a marker according to the pattern and cut it out.
In the same way, outline the outline of the top of the sneaker and cut it out.
Then glue the insole with the fleece side up and the top of the slipper with the fleece side down.
The advantage of paita fabric is that it does not fray, but you still need to cover the sections of the fabric for beauty. I still had a piece of lace ribbon, which came in very handy for decorating the slipper. The edges of the ribbon were cut off and used as a border for the top of the sneaker. Also, these wonderful flowers with an adhesive backing were discovered in the Sewing World store. They very conveniently matched the color of the slipper and the border and were glued on. You need to glue it by ironing it over the top of the flower.
