Do-it-yourself clothes are always original and economical. Already for almost every woman sewing and knitting have become an integral leisure activity, which always helps to replenish your wardrobe with new, interesting things. Handicrafts are especially helpful at the height of the season, when everyday clothes have long been unimpressive, but at the same time, there is no point in changing them and making unnecessary expenses. It is precisely at such moments that you should delight yourself with new clothes of your own production.
Knitting a summer T-shirt with knitting needles will be very easy and incredibly exciting, and the result of such work can please even the most demanding fashionista.

To knit such a pattern, you need to choose light, thin yarn and long needles No. 2. You will also need a measuring tape, a hook for processing the neckline and armholes, plus 4 double needles.

We cast on the required number of loops (based on preliminary fitting) and knit 4 rows with a 1X1 elastic band. For size 42 (Russian) approximately 120-130 loops are required.

After that we move on to the pattern. The effect of lightness and “openwork” is achieved through yarn overs, but in order to avoid adding loops, in parallel with the yarn overs, you should also reduce their number in a given row.The following diagram will help you avoid getting lost in your calculations.

Attention! A one-sided pattern (only the front side of the product is shown here) involves knitting all even rows in a mirror image, that is, on the reverse side we already knit according to the pattern on the wrong side.
According to the pattern, after the elastic there are 3 rows of even columns with a constant separation of two purl loops. Only then, in the area of wide stripes, do we make 2 additional yarn overs and cut off the extra loops there (we knit 4 together).

Openwork inserts are also made over 3 rows, and between them there are always narrow columns of front loops (with a purl frame on the sides). Each subsequent triple row is shifted so that the pattern does not merge and is symmetrical.

It is better to knit the back first. Using it, it will be easier to calculate the required number of rows to divide the front into two parts and determine the place where this bifurcation begins.
Fix the length of the product with a measuring tape!

And when the front reaches the same mark, switch to 4 spokes.

In the center, cast off 5-6 loops and knit both parts at once on short knitting needles (so as not to get lost).

Every 2 rows, 1 loop should be removed from both edges (neck and arms area), knitting it together with the adjacent one (but not the edge one).
This way the strap will gradually decrease.

After the 12th row, we make reductions in each row and when there are only 8 loops left on the knitting needle, we move on to the front stitch.
