Self-made stool: tools and materials
An example of creating a wooden stool on self-tapping screws. Size: seat 35 by 35 centimeters; height 45 centimeters. Pine was used to make the stool. If the wood is purchased ready to work, no additional steps for processing with antiseptic solutions are necessary.
To make a stool with your own hands it took:
• Regular ruler;
• Angled ruler;
• screwdriver;
• Bulgarian;
• Household woodworking machine;
• Sandpaper with a small rash;
• Hammer;
• Self-tapping screws;
• Hacksaw;
• A simple pencil.
Any construction begins with the preparation of the drawing, and even assembling a simple stool for the kitchen is no exception. Of course, the drawing is not necessary to perform in accordance with GOST. This is your cheat sheet, so the dimensions on paper may be arbitrary, but signed in strict accordance with the final result.
Stages of work.
When all the tools are ready, a simple pencil is sharpened, and the mental representation of the stool is transferred to paper, you can begin construction. First of all, they are made - legs, sleeves and drawers. Little carriages and czars are the basis of the whole construction. They take full responsibility for reliable operation. When all the blanks are cut, you can start processing them. The upper, coarse layer of wood is removed with a grinder. Then, when obvious defects are smoothed, they are sanded with sandpaper. The steps with legs were fastened with self-tapping screws - 4.2 * 76. The lower connection and mounting of the seat is made with self-tapping screws - 3.8 * 51.
The finished product is treated by impregnation in accordance with the recommendations written on the package. Modern impregnations allow preserving the natural texture of wood. If desired, the finished model can be turned into a soft stool.
