Easter Bunny Pendant

To decorate your home for Easter without much investment, we recommend making symbolic decorations from scrap materials. For example, you can decorate your front door or indoor plants with this Easter Bunny pendant. The work on the craft is not difficult, it takes about 1 hour, and the result is very bright and colorful.

To make a pendant we find:
- 1/2 m narrow tape
- a needle with a spool of thread to match the color of the ribbon
- plastic bottle
- black and white picture of a rabbit
- paints or markers
- glue
- scissors.

First, a few words about the picture. We found a black and white image of a bunny with an Easter egg on the Internet and decided to print it out and color it. The abundance of markers in the package was not encouraging. I had to settle for just six basic colors. Unfortunately, there was no gray felt-tip pen in the collection. It is for this reason that the rabbit turned out to be blue.
Next we cut out a colorful picture, giving the paper base the shape of an egg. By the way, it’s good if there are old children’s magazines or coloring books in the house.Then you can skip the procedure of searching for a picture on the Internet, and immediately cut out the desired color image in the shape of an egg.

Now, to seal the pendant, we will make a plastic frame for it. First, we cut two pieces of plastic from the bottle, then we attach paper blanks to them and, carefully moving the scissors along the contour, we cut out the plastic eggs.
All that remains is to coat the edges of the four parts with glue and connect them together. To prevent the work from becoming deformed (pronounced waviness does not appear on the edges of the paper), we press the egg with a massive book and leave it for a couple of hours.


While the glue dries, let's work on the ribbon: we'll form a flower and a loop out of it. We determine the length of the petals based on the size of the pendant itself.
All that remains is to glue the ribbon to the top of the egg. This can be done in different ways. We distributed the flower petals evenly on both sides of the pendant. However, there is an opinion that the work would have looked no less beautiful if a smaller flower had been placed between the rabbit’s ears.

We give the craft time to dry and hang the decoration in a pre-designated place.


I'll probably use tape to attach the egg to the kitchen display door.
