Hello dear readers. Such a hot stand can be done on your own within a week if you can sew and have the right materials on hand. Our stand turned out to be attractive, and it can be used for slicing bread, and in order to make it, we needed the following materials:

- Thick plastic sheets from the old folder for papers;
- scissors;
- thread and needle;
- glue;
- Transparent adhesive tape;
- The fabric is golden brown;
- The fabric is a light brown shade (in case of shortage, you can take a fabric of a different color, for example, white or blue);
- Cardboard paper;
- Ruler and pencil.

First, we need to cut out a lot of hexagonal figures in the form of honeycombs from the old paper folder, making a sample for this in advance from a separate piece of paper. In addition to the folder, we decided to take other plastic sheets, in case of a shortage of figures (transparent ones will do):

Next, we wrap the resulting “honeycombs” with a cloth that we cut out in the shape of figures, with small indents. To glue the fabric, we decided to use tape:

In total, the figures glued in this way turned out to be 31 pieces. We need to collect them into one figure, folding the honeycombs one to the other:

Having folded the figure, we found that many of the "honeycombs" were not even, which is why in the course of further work we will have to redo them:

Next, for work, we need cardboard paper and glue. Cardboard will have to hide areas of glued fabric on the back. You can use plain office paper if it is not enough, but it is better to use it.

When the glue dries, the honeycomb will need to be sewn together for the side faces:

Of the seven figures of honeycombs, we sew one in the shape of a flower. In the middle of this “flower” we decided to sew a white figure:

Next, we sew all the remaining shapes, connecting with the resulting "flower" and pasting the back with cardboard. It turns out this rug:

Now we need to cover this side with transparent tape so that the cardboard figures do not peel off and are not damaged by water or when slicing bread:

So the rug looks in front:

Now it is ready and you can use it:
