The bathhouse is a wonderful place that allows you to get away from all your problems and relax. When construction The “cherished corner” is completed, there is very little left: finish the interior of the room, and go ahead! To the sea of pleasures! But finishing work should be approached very seriously, so that in the future such unpleasant things as fumes, dampness and mold do not overshadow the holiday of soul and body.

The basic process consists of the following important steps:
1 Correct selection of materials.
2 Insulation and finishing of floors and ceilings.
3 Arrangement of the dressing room.

Selection of materials for wall cladding
In order to choose the right material for covering the walls of the steam room and washing room, you need to familiarize yourself with its properties, otherwise, instead of pleasure, staying in the bath will turn into discomfort.

For example, pine is completely unsuitable for this, since under the influence of high temperatures, resin is released from pine wood, which can cause discomfort.
In most cases, steam rooms and washing rooms are sheathed with linden and larch, respectively, ideally with clapboard, which must be attached to a timber sheathing prepared in advance.

A big plus in favor of the lining is the locking locks, which allow you to hide fasteners (nails and screws).
When finishing the steam room and washing room, the use of flammable and toxic materials, such as fiberboard, chipboard, linoleum, etc., is strictly not recommended, but they can be excellent for equipping a dressing room.

Insulation and finishing of floors and ceilings
Laying flooring in the bathhouse is the beginning of the beginning. All finishing work is carried out according to the bottom-up principle!
It is recommended to raise the floor in the steam room by approximately 10 cm, this will allow for better heat retention. Larch edged boards are most often used for flooring. It would be beneficial to insulate the steam room to create an airtight seal. Mineral insulation is widely used here, which is necessarily covered with aluminum foil to avoid the harmful effects of steam.

The most practical material for the floor in washing and steam rooms is ceramic tiles, since the wood will deteriorate due to constant humidity. But this also has its drawbacks - it will be slippery and you will need rubber mats or wooden mats. The same materials are suitable for covering the ceiling as for the walls (minimal amount of resins and toxins).

Arrangement of the waiting room
Here the use of pine is very welcome and allows you to save money. The walls of the dressing room do not heat up too much, and the pine trim fills the room with a pleasant pine aroma. When heated, conifers release phytoncides, which have a beneficial effect on human health, and health is the main priority in everything.

It is still better not to use larch for the floor of the steam room. Just like pine, it releases resin when heated; it can not only get dirty, but also cause serious burns. Of course, it is also used - it practically does not rot, but in this case, for the first 7-10 uses of the steam room, it is better not to walk on the floor barefoot. In the future, the resin will be released much less and the likelihood of burns will disappear.
Ideally, of course, use oak - it does not emit resins and, when interacting with water, literally turns into stone. But oak is an expensive pleasure.
Linden can be used for flooring; it does not darken and emits a subtle aroma. But it is highly susceptible to rotting, and fungus often settles on it.
Aspen may not be a bad option - it does not crack and is less susceptible to rot than linden.
