Often in present or when going on a visit, we choose a bottle of good wine. For gourmets of this ancient drink that has not been lost in modern times, such a gift will be a joy. Or maybe it will be suitable for someone’s collection (this is for those who always have a good selection of alcohol in their bar for connoisseurs). To make the gift look even more attractive, it would be nice to choose an original packaging for a bottle of wine. A special tall gift bag is selected for presenting as a gift, but the bottle itself can become elegant. To do this, we will knit a gift cover for a vessel with wine, which we will also decorate with a flower.
In this case, originality is always important, so we choose textured yarn, the thread of which is of uneven thickness, has thicker sections, and is composed of cotton with viscose. The color is also original, black with bright pink weaves. We select a hook for this uneven thread with the condition that the knitting should be mesh, not dense. To pair this thread, we select bright pink acrylic yarn, from which we will knit a rose for decoration. A small skein of yarn is useful for knitting a ribbon or tie cord.
We make a packaging case for a bottle with a round bottom. At the beginning of knitting, we cast on 4 air loops and close them into a ring. We tie 8 columns without a cape into this ring and move on to the second row. Everything starts with him knitting We perform with double crochets. Add stitches in the next 3-4 rows until the circle reaches the size of the bottom of the bottle.
Then we stop adding loops and knit in a circle in height. During the knitting process we apply the cover to the bottle. The height of the cover should cover the entire bottle.
We perform the last row according to the scheme: 1 ch. to rise, then rapport: *lush column of 2 tbsp. double crochet, ch 2, in the next loop of the bottom row, a lush stitch of 2 tbsp. double crochet, single stitch in the next stitch of the bottom row*. We repeat the repeat until the end of the row, obtaining a slightly wavy edge.
The ribbon for tying can be chosen from satin braid or knitted from yarn of a suitable color. In our case, a cord is made from grass-colored yarn using a cord knitting machine. Not everyone has such a machine, so using a hook it is not difficult to knit a ribbon of two rows: 1 row of 70 chain loops, the second row of double crochets.
We put the knitted cover on the bottle, tie it with a ribbon in the neck area, and fold the edges.
We knit a rose from acrylic yarn, choosing the twisted ribbon method. We knit a strip of yarn according to the pattern: cast on 60 vp, then repeat in the fourth loop of the bottom row *in one loop: 1 tbsp. double crochet, 2 ch, 1 tbsp. with a double crochet, in the next loop of the bottom row: 1 tbsp. without a crochet*. It turns out like the letter V. The second row is longer than the first in each report by 3 loops. Due to this, the tape begins to curl already during the knitting process.
Having finished the second row, we begin to form the rose, twist the knitted ribbon in a spiral, and then use a thread of the same yarn to fasten all the twisted tiers of the ribbon from the inside, simply stitch it through, without tightening too much, so as not to crumple the flower.
We straighten the rose, try it on a knitted cover placed on the bottle, and sew the flower in the area of the knot onto the ribbon or onto the cover itself.
