Postcards in the shape of a figure eight for the holiday “March 8”

Very soon ahead, with the arrival of such a wonderful and blossoming spring of the year, one of the most favorite holidays of the year is coming to us, International Women's Day on March 8th. All girls, women, grandmothers and little princesses are presented with flowers, sweets and other gifts by the opposite sex. But we should not forget that not only men prepare for this holiday with gifts, but also women themselves congratulate each other with various souvenirs and presents. For example, these can even be beautiful handmade cards with various small wishes. And since this is the holiday of March 8, the most important number in it is eight, so this is exactly the shape that cards can look like. Now we will consider a master class on making figure eight postcards using the technique scrapbooking.
For the master class we take:
• Three sheets of burgundy cardboard, A4 format;
• Number eight pattern;
• Scrappaper three sheets in pink and peach tones;
• Stamped inscription “Happy March 8th”;
• Pink ink pad;
• Pictures printed with flowers;
• Cutting: burgundy butterflies, green and turquoise leaves;
• Watercolor paper;
• Cotton lace pink and light pink;
• Fabric flowers pink and light pink with a green base;
• Stamens are complex in bouquets with glitter;
• Satin ribbon of jelly color;
• Paper purple flowers;
• Berries in pink sugar;
• Glue stick, double-sided tape;
• Scissors, ruler, heat gun, pencil.


So, first we need to cut out double figure eights for the bases from purple cardstock. To do this, we place a sheet of cardboard vertically, divide it in half, it turns out to be 10.5 cm each.


Draw a continuous bend line under the ruler and fold it in half. We do this with all three sheets.


Now we apply the figure eight template to each sheet.


Cut out double eights. The basics are ready, now we will design them. Now we reduce the template along the edge of the entire workpiece by 2 mm.


Now, using this template, we cut out three blanks from watercolor paper.


We tint each edge. These will be the internal blanks of postcards for inscriptions of wishes. From scrap paper using this template, cut out two figures of eight for each card.


We glue one piece of scrap eight at a time onto the base with a glue stick.


Immediately glue the watercolors inside. Now we decorate the front parts.


You can also protonate the front blanks along the edges. Now we cut out three stamped inscriptions “Happy March 8” and three pictures with flowers.


We glue and sew these elements onto the figure eights and sew them on. Now we glue the front eights to the base and sew each card on the front and back.


The cards are sewn, all that remains is to glue them decor.


We glue the decor with a heat gun, as in the photo.
