Do it yourself
Life hacks, master classes, useful tips, recipes.
Modern male and female students are very bright, cheerful and creative personalities, so everything should match their appearance, including additional accessories. Students are generally independent, one might say, accomplished people, since they have already graduated from school, received a certificate, chosen a profession for themselves and are mastering it to the fullest in order to get a prestigious job in the future. Student years are already a completely new and responsible level of life for every person, as the adult line is crossed, with new difficulties and trials, as well as triumphs and victories. The level of transition from student to student is quite high, so with this transition, any student receives two additional documents, a record book and a student ID, which they should always have with them. Carrying documents with you every day contributes to their rapid wear, so covers are simply necessary for them, as they will preserve their appearance and complete safety longer. It is this master class that will teach us how to make covers for these three documents at the same time, and we will make them in the form of a set.
To do this we take:
• Dark green paper for pastels, take a large sheet of A3 format;
• Three transparent covers;
• Three pictures with owls;
• Pastel paper in green tones in several colors;
• Dark green grosgrain ribbon with white polka dots;
• Green epoxy brads;
• Waxed cord of light green color;
• Acrylic stamps “Recordbook” and “Passport”;
• Three white and lime green striped cabochons;
• Ink and acrylic block;
• Printed inscription “student card”;
• Metal pendants and bronze handles, all 3 pieces;
• Cut out green twigs of various shapes, also 3 pcs;
• Half pearl beads;
• Double-sided tape, PVA glue, double-sided tape;
• Curb hole punch;
• Pencil, ruler with scissors.

First we will cut out the bases of the covers themselves. To do this, put a pastel sheet of paper and cut out three rectangles.

The dimensions of the bases when unfolded are as follows: 7.5 * 20.7 cm, 11.2 * 30.5 cm and 12.7 * 18.2 cm. Now we divide all three in half.

Now we will decorate the covers on top.

We are preparing the inscriptions right away. To do this, take an acrylic block, attach a stamp to it, dip it into an ink pad and stamp it on white cardboard. Two inscriptions are stamped, and one is printed; we tint all three inscriptions along the edges a little, creating, so to speak, the effect of antiquity.

We have scrapbooking paper in several similar colors, so our rectangles will consist of two parts. We should get scrap rectangles of these sizes.

We cut out three squares from a sheet of scrap paper with glitter, glue a picture on each of them with tape, and from grosgrain ribbon we cut out a strip of grosgrain ribbon the width of each picture.

We glue the tapes with glue at the bottom of each picture. Use a hole punch to make lace strips.

Use PVA glue to glue the strips onto the rectangles.We glue the inscriptions, squares with pictures and sew all these details separately with a machine. We make cuts with a stationery knife and insert brads.

Now we glue the back and front parts of the three covers to the bases.

We machine sew each side of each cover. We knit bows from cord and glue the decorations approximately the same on all covers. All that remains is to insert them into transparent covers and you’re done.
