You can knit figures from any thread. The size of the future toy will depend on the thickness of the yarn and the hook number. We took the usual half-woolen yarn and hooks at No. 2. For work, you will also need:
- Felt in white, black and burgundy.
- The yarn is red and orange.
- The needle is darned.
- Universal glue (transparent, gel-like).
- Sintepon for stuffing.
- Knitting torso, tuft and beak.
- We make the central ring by wrapping the thread around the finger. Just note that you should knit in a spiral. For convenience and to avoid confusion, we recommend using a colored marker at the conditional beginning of the row. In our case, this is a yellow paper clip.
Knitting torso.
Row number 1: we knit 10 single crochet (RLS). Next, tighten the ring at the short end of the thread so that there is no large hole at the beginning of the work.
The subsequent rows are a gradual increase in the number of loops to obtain a knitted circle.
Row number 2: increase the number of loops by 2 times, knitting 2 RLS in each loop of the previous row. The result should be 20 sc.
Row number 3: 20 sc.
Row number 4: / 1 sc, 2 sc from the next loop /. Repeating the combination will increase the number of loops to 30.
Rows No. 5-6: 30 sc.
Row number 7: repetition of the combination / 1 sc, 2 sc in the next loop /;
Row number 8: 45 sc.
Row number 9: 15-fold repetition of rapport / 2 sc, 2 sc in the next loop /
Rows No. 10-17: 60 sc.
At this stage, the knitted fabric is as follows:
Row number 18: begins the reduction of loops. / 2 sc, 1 sc in 2 loops /, repeating rapport will lead to a decrease in the number of loops to 45.
Rows No. 19-20: 45 sc.
Row number 21: repeat 15 times rapport / 1 sc, 1 sc in 2 loops.
Row number 22: 30 sc.
Row 23 and the following: / 1 sc, 1 sc in 2 loops /. Repeat rapport until a small filling hole remains.
Next, we tightly stuff the resulting hollow ball with a synthetic winterizer:
After stuffing, sew the hole:
Knitting beak.
We knit beak from orange yarn.
At the beginning of the work, we collect a chain of 20 VP (air loops) and connect them to the ring with a connecting loop. Knitting continues in a spiral.
Rows №№1 -2: 20 СБН
Row No. 3 onwards: repeat rapport / 1 СБН, 1 СБН in 2 loops / until the loops of the previous row end and the hole closes.
Knitting crest of 2 parts.
We knit 2 identical crests and sew them.
We form the central ring by wrapping the yarn around the index finger.
Row number 1: having knitted 15 СБН, we tighten the ring by a short tail of the thread so that the hole becomes small.
Row number 2: 15 СБН.
Row No. 3: 5-fold repetition of rapport / 1 СБН, 1 СБН in 2 loops /
Rows No. 4-6: 10 СБН.
Row number 7: / 1 sc, 1 sc in 2 loops /. There will be 5 loops in the row.
According to the same pattern, we knit a second crest. The resulting elongated products are sewn together:
Next, we sew all the parts:
Cut and paste parts of the figure from felt.
Eyes, whites of the eyes, pupils are cut out of black and white felt. Terrible, Red's characteristic eyebrows are from black felt. The browned cheeks are made from burgundy felt.
Next, glue the cut parts with universal glue.
