Handmade scented candles

Such gifts include: handmade soap, candles, cosmetics, notepads, cards, etc.This is especially easy to do at the present time, since there are simply a lot of shops for various creative arts, where you can buy an absolutely wide variety of goods for handicrafts, and add your wits and ingenuity and you will get a very valuable surprise. Today we will deal with the process of making one such necessary gift. This master class will help us learn lessons on making handmade candles with different scents.
Our master class will require the following:
• Russian-made vegetable paraffin (consists of environmentally friendly raw materials);
• Glass cups instead of molds;
• Plate for water bath;
• Toothpicks;
• Wick holders;
• Wick;
• Scissors;
• Liquid flavor “Orchid”;
• Thin red floral ribbon for decoration;
• Several paper napkins;
• Water bath.




Glass cups both have a capacity of approximately 70 grams, so the candles will turn out to be about the same mass. We rinse the cups well, remove all grease and stains on them and wipe dry. Cut about 140 grams of paraffin from a large piece.




We grind it, now put it in a metal plate, now put it in a prepared heated water bath. Melt the paraffin until completely dissolved, do not boil. Now we cut off the wick, two pieces with a height slightly larger than the height of the cups.




Place two toothpicks in the center of each cup. Now we insert the wick into the holder and carefully place everything together in the center of the toothpicks. Make sure that the thread falls exactly in the center.




Remove the plate from the water bath with dissolved paraffin and add the following there.Two or three drops of Orchid flavoring and a few drops of any vegetable essential oil, in this case we add a few drops of orange oil. Mix everything well and pour this mass into the prepared molds so that the wick thread evenly touches the bottom and is in the center of the glass container. We try to pour the already melted paraffin into containers so as not to disturb them for about two full hours. Accordingly, the hardening time of the candles is approximately two hours.




Now we put the glass containers with candles in the refrigerator for about twenty minutes, so that the candles can easily fall out of the containers. A small note: you should not immediately place containers with liquid mass, because the effect of candles is not at all the same. They should harden naturally, and they should be left for literally 15-20 minutes so that they can be easily removed from the molds.
Place the candles on a napkin and cut two pieces of ribbon 20-25 cm long.




Now we tie a strip of ribbon around each candle and tie a bow. The candles are ready and smell pleasantly like orchids.
