2. A printout is applied to the bottom of the ashtray, choosing the best position. Glue to the bottom with acrylic varnish, expel air and excess moisture.

When the paper dries, remove the excess paper with sandpaper along the edge.
3. Apply craquelure composition to the side. Here you must strictly follow the manufacturer's recommendations, as some points may vary. In our case, we used the craquelure composition of the company Mameri (Italy).
Cracks overwrite with bitumen.

4. Mix the ocher, white and medium yellow. It turns out a shade close to the color in the center of the card. They tint the outer part of the ashtray. After drying - with acrylic varnish in several layers.

No need to worry if the layer seems insufficient on the lumen - we will fix everything in the next step.
5. Now we coat the sidewalls with a putty of one to two millimeters, while gluing the crushed parts of the shells.

We coat with acrylic varnish. This will not allow the shell to crumble apart and stick them tightly to each other.

Awesome! It turned out very beautifully. I would never have guessed that this is an ordinary ashtray, decorated with shells and a paper picture. Masterpiece.
