How to originally congratulate your friends, parents or acquaintances on the holiday? Of course, unusual handmade work that will surprise every recipient of such a gift. An exclusive do-it-yourself greeting card is exactly the option when you have no imagination for gift ideas. Of course, such a card can be in addition to the main gift.
In this article, we will present the idea of creating an original postcard with a dragonfly, which will be an excellent gift for both female and male recipients.
For the manufacture of work you will need:
1. Cardboard A4 - dark green.
2. Design paper with patterns or polka dots (white in large peas of green hue, light green plain, yellow in multi-colored peas).
3. Paper for quilling - orange, dark green, green grass, lime.
4. Quilling tool, scissors, glue.
5. Double-sided tape.
First, prepare the basis. To do this, bend the dark green cardboard in half. Next, we cut a 13x18 cm rectangle from the designer white pea paper and fasten it with double-sided tape to the base. From light green paper we need to make a rectangle with torn edges measuring 11x15 cm. In the same way, we should make a 9x14 cm rectangle from yellow polka dot paper. Attach both rectangles to foam double-sided tape.
Next, proceed to the implementation of the dragonfly itself. To do this, you need a tool (toothpick) and quilling paper. To complete the eyes, you need to connect two strips of quilling paper of dark green and light green colors, then form a tight roll and fix it with glue. And we will perform 4 rolls of dark green paper, each of which we will dissolve to the desired size (the largest, a little smaller, even smaller and one the densest, loose just a little). We will make two dense rolls of green grass quilling paper, one of which will be slightly larger. In the same way, we will perform two rolls of light green color, one of which will be the smallest. All details of the body of a dragonfly are visible in the photo.

Now it remains to fulfill the wings. For each wing, you need to connect two strips of quilling paper, form a roll, dissolve it as much as possible and give the details a drop shape. There should be four such details, after which it is already possible to begin to form on the basis of our dragonfly. We start with the body, which we form with the help of rolls, and in the end we fasten the wings.
