The Dream Catcher is not just an interior decoration, but a natural amulet that protects the dreams of its owner. With it you don’t have to be afraid of nightmares - made with soul, it will definitely bring bright emotions to your home. Now Dream Catchers are quite popular, they can be found in every souvenir shop. However, almost all of them are made as a carbon copy and are no different from each other, therefore, in order to get a unique, beautiful thing to your own taste, you can weave a Dream Catcher yourself. To do this you will need very few materials that everyone has, a minimum of preparation and imagination. Before starting work, you need to think about the approximate color scheme and style of the amulet - it can be in bright or muted colors, in a marine style or any other.
If you want to make a catcher on a natural basis (usually willow branches), then you should prepare in advance. It is better to tear rods for work in the warm season, while they are young and flexible. Immediately after the rods are torn off, you need to twist them into a circle-base, and to make sure it is even, you can put it on a vase or mug, depending on the size, while drying.The willow dries for about a week, after which you can start weaving the Catcher.

The rest of the materials will probably be found at home.
For a little Dream Catcher you will need:
-Willow (or any other) round base;
-Threads (thin yarn may be suitable);
-Beads (plastic, glass, wood, natural stones);
-Feathers.

And also scissors and a needle.

When all the materials have been selected, you can lay them out on the table in the shape of the future product - this will help you clearly see the result and outline the location of beads, pendants and feathers. It’s okay if not all selected materials are useful in your work.

The first thing to do is weave the Trapper's web. You need to cut the thread (not too long, but enough for the entire web) and tie it to the base. The knot can then be slightly secured with glue for reliability. For convenience, the thread can be threaded into a needle or needle in order to freely thread it through future weaving cells. The entire web in the Catcher is woven without knots. The needle and thread need to be looped around the base, threaded through the resulting loop and tightened.

In this way, you need to weave the entire first row, trying to keep the distance between the “knots” approximately equal. The thread should always be taut so that the web is taut and not deformed. However, it is important not to overdo it here - if the base is made of twigs or branches, then it may bend. It is very simple to check whether the base has begun to deform - by placing it on a flat, smooth surface.

The last loop-knot should be made at a short distance from the beginning of the weaving (where the thread was tied). From this point the circular weaving begins.

Then everything is simple - the main thing is not to get lost, tighten the thread and periodically, according to your taste and idea, weave beads and pendants into the web, threading the thread through them. When the weaving narrows towards the center, a small hole remains, the thread must be secured with a knot, threading the thread twice into the loop, as in weaving, and tightened. The knot can be secured with glue or hidden behind a bead.

The middle and main part of the Dream Catcher is ready. Now you need to attach the feathers - there can be three of them, one, or any other number of pieces. They can be pigeon, chicken or any other bird. For each feather you need to cut the thread, tie it and disguise the tip of the feather with a bead - at the same time fixing the knot. The feathers can be tied close to the Dream Catcher or left on long strings and laces, decorating them with beads.

After all the feathers are hung symmetrically, all that remains is to make a loop. You can hang the Dream Catcher on a cord of a matching color or make a simple loop of thread, decorating it with a bead. After this, the Catcher is ready. You can hang it above your bed or even in your car.
