Box for wedding disc

A wedding is a very magical and romantic holiday in the life of every young couple. For most, a wedding is considered a holiday and an event that happens once and for a lifetime. Therefore, you understand that you need to prepare, organize and conduct it at the highest level so that you remember it for a lifetime. There is quite a lot of preparation and organization for a wedding celebration, so you need to think through everything in advance so that you don’t have to run in a hurry later. It is best to seek help from specialists who are specifically involved in the holidays, their preparation, decoration and full implementation. But, as for the wedding, there are many more nuances and all sorts of little things that are best taken into your own hands and, for example, the bride herself takes care of. We are talking about wedding invitations, mini-gifts for guests, they are also called so-called bonbonnieres, place cards, guest list, etc. These are very important little things, so it’s better to do them yourself.At any wedding there is always a photographer with video recording, who records and films the most significant moments that occur at your celebration. And years later, you will be able to look back at your wedding together and remember what a happy and romantic day it was. The video is stored on a disk, which must be stored carefully so that the footage does not get damaged. The bride can take on this part and make a very beautiful handmade box for her wedding CD. So, to make it we need to take:
• Binding cardboard, two sheets 15*15 cm;
• Two sheets of A4 watercolor paper;
• Two sheets of paper for scrapbooking from Evgenia Kurdibanovskaya from the “Love and Doves” collection, sheets 30*30 cm;
• Gold metal corners 4 pcs;
• Curb hole punch;
• Hollow cut-out pink heart;
• Picture with swans;
• Stamp “Happy Wedding Day”, pink ink;
• Roses made of polymer clay in white and peach colors;
• Pink poppy;
• Pink-peach roses and forget-me-nots;
• Pink double lace;
• White ribbon with fabric roses;
• Cutting paper butterflies;
• Leaflets;
• Half beads;
• Light pink satin ribbon with polka dots;
• Double-sided tape, glue gun, pencil, ruler, PVA glue, scissors.




So, first we need to make the base of the box itself. We attach the binding cardboard to a sheet of watercolor paper.




We retreat 1.5 cm around the perimeter. We do the same with the second sheet of cardboard paper. We cut off the excess and get 18*18 cm squares from watercolors. Now we press the cardboard with one hand and use the end of the scissors to pass along the perimeter of the first and second squares. This is what we do with the bend lines.




At the corners we retreat 3 cm on both sides, then connect the corner lines and make cuts.




We bend all sides.We glue these blanks onto the binding cardboard using strips of tape.




The sides that we bend are glued with PVA glue. We got these squares. They now need to be glued together. We cut two strips of 3*15 cm. Divide them by 1.3*0.4*1.3 cm and also crease them.




We glue one strip on top, the second on the bottom, thus connecting the squares, we get something like a book.




We cut out 4 squares of 15*15 cm from white and pink scrap paper. We cut out two rectangles of 7.5*15 cm from another paper. At the top we glue the paper lace using PVA.




Glue the rectangle pockets to the squares along the edges.




Cut off the front and glue a strip of tape for tying. We glue scrap squares with pockets inside. We decorate one of the front squares: we glue a picture and an inscription and sew them on with a machine.




Now we glue both front parts and sew both sides of the box on the outside.




From the remaining watercolor we make strips with a hole punch and glue them along the edges of the box. Then we glue the heart.




Now we just glue the rest decor.
