Where to attach the remnants of plastic (aka polymer clay), those colorful pieces that remain from large products? For me there is always one answer: mix everything to a uniform color and fashion jewelry, covering finished products with gilding or colored mother of pearl. Today I’ll tell you how easy and simple it is to make beautiful stylish earrings “antique”, or rather, for antiquity - as a result of simple manipulations with polymer clay we will get luxurious “gold” earrings in the ancient Egyptian style.

For work, we need the following:
- polymer clay (we mix the remains or we take any color, but not too dark);
- two rectangular imitated turquoise stones (the shape of cabochon stones is variable, you can take either oval or round, as you like or what is at hand);
- an even number of large turquoise beads, turquoise beads;
- accessories for earrings (ear hooks, rings, pins);
- gold for coating (it can be gold acrylic paint, for me it's liquid eyeshadow of gold color);
- tools (pusher, clerical knife, toothpicks, awl).

For work, we need

We roll two identical balls of polymer clay, bearing in mind the dimensions of the stones so that they freely fit in the center of the product.

We roll out the circles, cut off the top with a clerical knife and get such an interesting shape.

Roll out thin sausages from polymer clay and lay them around the stones like this. We make notches imitating coinage.

We apply relief using toothpicks or an awl.

We make holes in the center at the top (under the little ring for which the schwenz will be attached), three at the bottom for pendants, attach the accessories to see what our decoration will be like.

Apply gilding.

Now the product can be baked in the oven at a temperature of 110 degrees, of course, observing safety precautions (avoid burning, since plastic in this case becomes toxic). We stand it for 10 minutes (you can find out the baking time on a box with polymer clay, as it varies depending on the company). We cool the products and cover them with varnish so that they do not lose their gilding over time, we begin collecting jewelry, for this we thread through the holes of the ring. We insert cloves pins into beads and beads, cut off excess, make loops, hang on rings. We fasten the shvenzy.

Earrings are ready! Now it remains to wait for the right occasion to “walk” them with a stylish outfit. These earrings will look cool with a boho style outfit, oriental or ethnic bow.
