Picture from the cocktail tubes

Tubules for a cocktail - a very fertile material for creativity. They are easy to bend, cut and quickly stick. And if after many holidays you have accumulated enough plastic tubes, then you can dream up and find unusual use for them. For example, stick them around a half-liter jar, tie with a bow and you get an excellent vase for a bouquet of flowers. If you cut the straws 3-4 cm long and string them on a thread, you will get an original jewelry (beads and bracelets) for your little daughter. In this way, you can glue the frame for a photo from a party, make extraordinary Christmas toys and other tricks. Today we offer you a step-by-step master class on making a simple picture with the image of flowers, composed of segments from cocktail tubes.

Prepare for crafts such materials:
- a sheet of cardboard is not too bright in color (in the photo it is pale pink);
- scissors that cut well;
- a tube of PVA glue;
- tubes for cocktails, two little things of each color: green, white, blue, red, yellow, purple.



So, each tube must be cut into pieces of 1 cm, 1.5 cm and 0.5 cm. Only it is necessary to make not an even cut, but an oblique. Those fragments that consist of an “accordion” should be cut in length into 4 parts and stretched. Cut green straws like this: one 8 cm long and two 6 cm long.



Now turn on all your creativity, dream up and come up with the outlines of the future flower. If it is difficult for you to keep the image in your memory, then you can accurately draw the image on the sheet with just light touches of a simple pencil. Start with the stem (the longest green line), place it in the middle of the leaf. Straws easily sit on PVA glue. On top of the stalk, gradually glue the colored pieces of straw. For example, 7 pieces of red, between them 6 yellow, then a row of purple and blue, and the topmost glue the white petals.



Then, from the main stalk, on the sides, place two minor stems (segments of 6 cm). On the right, form a red bud of 10 segments, and on the left there will be a blue flower (11 pieces of petals).



While the petals of the small buds dry out, lay out and glue 4 green leaves. For them, it is necessary to cut a green tube into segments 0.5 cm wide. It is better to apply them precisely for a round hole. Leaflets can be of various shapes and sizes, all of the same shape will look beautiful.



Further, you can form a decorative “grass” at the bottom of those parts of the tubes where there is an accordion. It will look more expressive if you alternate colors. At this stage, it is necessary to make the small side flowers more magnificent. It’s better to glue purple petals on red, and blue ones go well with yellow. In the very center of the flower, glue the white segments 0.5 cm in size - this will be the center of the flower.
