Do it yourself
Life hacks, master classes, useful tips, recipes.
My four-year-old daughter simply loves Kinders and collects toys that come across in chocolate surprises. My husband and I constantly come across them, they just “live” everywhere: on the floor, on the sofa, and even once I found hippos in kitchen utensils. This problem had to be solved somehow. And I came up with the idea of making an unusual house in the form of a tower, in which all these little animals will live.

For work, prepare the following materials:
- tin cans (three small or one large);
- scotch;
- linen twine, paper thread;
- PVA glue and fabric glue;
- a piece of self-woven fabric;
- a piece of thick cardboard (from a packaging container) and stationery cardboard (half A4);
- scissors;
- wooden skewers (or matches).

prepare the following materials

First you need to glue three tin cans together with tape (if the container is high, then it remains in its original form).
The result is a workpiece 16 cm high.

Take a paper thread and start wrapping it around the future tower. In order for the thread to hold well, you need to fix its end. And in order for the turns to fit tightly to each other, you should periodically apply PVA glue to the surface of the base.

start wrapping the workpiece

Once you have finished filling the surface, the working thread should be glued to the edge of the product so that the turns do not unwind. If there are unfilled edges, it doesn’t matter, they can be hidden with linen rope.

Now you need to glue the blank onto a thick sheet of cardboard. You can use a rectangular cut from a grocery box for this. If you like, sprinkle sawdust on the cardboard to create a more interesting texture.

Now cut out a circle from white rectangular stationery cardboard. Form it into a cone.

And cover it in a circle with linen twine. To do this, apply glue to the cardboard and wrap it in a spiral with thick thread.
Glue the cone on top of the tin blank.

Now we need to do decor for the tower. From wooden skewers, cut sticks 5 cm, 2.5 cm and 1 cm high. From these pieces you make a door and a window on the house. You can also glue spiral shapes made of twine or pieces of openwork tape to the side. In a word, it is necessary to fill the empty space on the facade of the building.

Now proceed to forming a beautiful fence. To do this, take linen twine and glue it along the edge of the cardboard base in the form of rings. To do this, a thick thread must be carefully glued, gradually twisting into round shapes.

The entire composition can be supplemented with thematic decorations. For example, make a large broom from a piece of wooden skewer and linen twine, plus a bag of grain from homespun cloth and rope.

Place unusual decorative items near the tower.

You can also attach a magic ball to the roof of the house. It is easily twisted from paper rope.

All that remains is to settle the inhabitants of this fabulous tower house.

Tower toy house

This craft will definitely intrigue your baby. My daughter sits near the house, comes up with stories and plays out various situations with little toy characters. And when he goes to bed, he arranges all the inhabitants near his house. And now we no longer bump into little animals, they stand exactly in place.
