New Year is coming, time to give and receive gifts, decorate the Christmas tree and enjoy the winter holidays. What could be more beautiful than a handmade gift or a Christmas tree toy created with children, which for a long time will still remind you of funny moments spent together. Below is a master class on creating a Christmas toy in the shape of a cute sheep from cold porcelain. This toy can be made from any other polymer clay drying in the air, or from salt dough.
Tools and materials: cold porcelain of white and beige color, foam ball, PVA glue, floristic wire, pen from the pen. Acrylic or oil paints of red, black, white, brush, pliers, satin ribbon, rhinestones.

Acrylic or oil paints

We twist the wire and create a loop from it, which we stick into the foam ball.

Apply PVA glue to half the surface of the ball.

We tear off a small piece of white porcelain, roll out a small layer from it and carefully begin to sculpt it on a ball, closing up the place where the loop of wire is located. After half of the ball is covered with porcelain, apply glue to the second half and do the same manipulations until the entire ball is evenly coated with porcelain.

At the other end of the shaft from the fountain pen, we begin to create the texture of the wool, a painstaking process, since it will take a long time to “poke” the shaft to obtain “curls”.

We begin to sculpt the muzzle. Roll out a beige ball, about a quarter of the diameter of the body of a lamb. We form a drop from the ball. From a drop we cut off a piece of porcelain, diagonally, so that the muzzle easily sticks to the body of the lamb.

Finger push on the middle of the white ball, slightly pushing the porcelain to the sides, making room for the muzzle. Apply glue and apply a beige drop cut to a white ball. Then gently press the drop, above and below, giving the shape of the muzzle.

To fix the muzzle to the body, roll out a strip of white porcelain, apply glue around the muzzle and fix the strip with a rod, giving it a texture.

shaping

Getting to the formation of the face. Let's start with the nose. On the other side of the rod we form two indentations in the lower part of the drop, then with a flat stack or just a nail file we finish forming the nose, and if you wish, you can make a smile for the sheep.

Create the eyes. Roll out two small white porcelain balls. Apply glue to the top of the head and glue them. Then, using the rod, we form the pupils, gently pressing them into the middle of the balls.

Our lamb needs ears too. We sculpt them from beige porcelain. We roll out two small droplets, then with a thin pointed stack we make a depression in them. Near the muzzle we apply glue and press the ears with the stack to the body of the lamb. To decorate the toy you can use rhinestones, beads, flowers, sparkles, bows and much more.

Proceed to painting the eyes and cheeks. We paint the pupils of the eyes with black paint, then with white we make highlights in the corners of the pupils.

We cheek our cheeks with highly diluted red paint; after drying, we can draw freckles on them. It will also be interesting to look if you give the nose an accent with highly diluted red paint.

It remains to pass the ribbon through the wire loop, tie a bow and enjoy the result of the work of their golden pens. Our sheep is ready to decorate the New Year's green beauty.
