Musketeer costume

It’s so customary: the child must go to the Christmas tree in a suit. It’s easier, of course, to buy a Batman or Spider-Man outfit in the store, and not toil with needlework. But at the festival of such superheroes there may be two, or even four. Then present it’s definitely not your kid who will get the best costume. The costume offered by me can be made even by the most “armless” parent. If the farm has the necessary details of the outfit, then it will take an hour and a half to create it. If not, you have to spend the whole evening. We will need: any hat, mother’s old boots and gloves, two rectangles of black fabric, a pair of garlands, a buckle, two pieces of wide elastic and something that looks like a feather.

Hat.
The edge of the hat is decorated with a garland. Wide fields make it possible to give the hat a real musketeer look. If there is no hat, we take on the Internet a “recipe” for making it out of paper. He is very simple.

Fasten the feather.
In my version, a dust brush Duster is used as a pen. An analogue may be colored paper, wound on a wire and finely trimmed at the edges.




Accessories
Mercilessly trimming the bootlegs of old boots. It is desirable that these were boots and with buckles. We decorate the top of the shaft with a garland. We bend the bottom so that the cut is not visible.







We attach a garland to old gloves.

Cloak.
This is the hardest part of the costume. We take monophonic fabric of blue, red or black color. Fold in half and cut the same rectangles. These are the front and back details of the cloak. Sew the edges of the fabric rectangle on all sides with an internal bend (to avoid shedding and blooming of the fabric).



We sew the second fabric rectangle in the same way. We sew the shoulders, leaving a sufficient hole for the head.



Sew pieces of elastic in both sides of the cloak at the baby’s chest level (we attach each of them to 1 and 2 rectangles with a sewing seam). Eraser is necessary to limit the movement of the cloak around the body.




We mask the edges of both rectangles with a garland.




In the center of both fabric rectangles we make a cross from a garland of a different color.





Advice.
Sew garlands manually. Dressing the baby, first we pull the legs on the legs, and then any shoes in size. Under a cloak we put on a mother’s white blouse (preferably a larger size and with ruffles) or a shirt. Turn the collar up the neck of the cloak. The shirt must be tightened with a belt around the waist. It is necessary to tie a short (6-7 centimeters) laces to the belt, which will be the fastener for the sword. HORSE - obligatory requisite! If it is not in the nearest store - do it yourself. To do this, take a stick, a mop handle, a thin pipe or thick wire. We string on it a circle with a hole in the middle, made of cardboard. We shift it 15 centimeters down. We wrap all the crafts with foil for baking.
