Once I thought about how to make a simple macrame-style belt, but reliable, because ordinary belts were often torn. I wanted the belt to be with shiny beads. Initially, I took a cord twisted from 2 threads, but it turns out to be very soft, does not hold its shape and appearance. You can only take a braided hard cord in a hardware store.
So, for a 1 meter long belt you will need:
3 pieces of cord with a diameter of 1.5 mm and a length of 5.5 meters.
3 coils of beads (125 each) with a diameter of 5 mm
Buckle (2.5 mm on the inside) - but, as it turned out later, a belt with a 3.5 mm buckle would look much better.
1. I burned the ends of the cord in the flame of a candle (to make it easier to put on the beads, I folded it in half and fastened it with a double canopy so that the tongue of the belt fell in the middle of one of the loops. Then I fixed it to the left and right sides with a canopy 2 more times buckle.
So it happened:
2. I made a knot from right to left as the extreme thread on the right.
3. The second thread on the left is a knot from right to left
4. The middle thread on the right we make the knot from right to left
5. With the extreme thread on the left, make a knot from left to right around the third thread on the left.
6. The second thread on the right is a knot from left to right around the third thread on the left
and then with this thread (around which the knot was made) we make the knot from right to left
7. Next, make a knot from left to right with the second thread on the right
8. Accordingly, with the third thread on the right, we make a knot from left to right
and again from left to right:
9. So we formed a slash along which we will weave. String the beads on the first and second thread on the left and make a knot from left to right
10. So continue to the penultimate thread. The fifth thread on the left is a knot around the sixth thread on the left without beads:
11. So weave to the end of the belt. And cut off the ends of the belt and burn with a soldering iron:
