The time has passed when only clay and ordinary clay existed! Now there is such a variety of materials for creativity that the head is spinning from what else to do. Polymer clay is a godsend for creative people. This is a very pleasant to the touch material, which is a pleasure to work with.
In this master class we will work with self-hardening polymer clay. She has her own advantages and disadvantages, which you will become familiar with during the master class. And also you will learn how to quickly make beautiful flowers that can come in handy for decoration.
For sculpting, we will use FIMO air Light self-hardening polymer clay. There are several other worthy producers whose clay you can use, for example, Decoclay. FIMO air Light differs in that it is completely environmentally friendly and it is pleasant to work with it.
We also need toothpicks, scissors and a stack. With such a simple set of tools and hands, you can create pretty pretty flowers.

clay material

Using the stack we cut off as much clay as we need and immediately wrap the clay in a film and a bag so that it does not dry out.

cut the clay

We thoroughly hold clay in our hands and roll out a small sausage.

The mode using the stack on as many pieces as we will sculpt flowers and the size that we need. Immediately send the pieces in a closed bag. This is the disadvantage of self-hardening clay that you need to sculpt quickly until all the moisture has evaporated and the clay is still plastic.

Stack Mode

We form a ball from each piece, and from it a drop with the help of hands (do not forget to hide in a bag).

droplets

We take scissors and with the tips we cut the wide part of the droplet into four parts.

Carefully straighten the formed petals of the future flower and form them with a toothpick. It is very simple: we protrude the petal onto the index finger and press it with a toothpick from beginning to end until the shape that we need is formed. You can bend the edges of the petals down, or you can make unopened petals - it all depends on your imagination and sleight of hand.

We make a hole in the flower with a toothpick to insert a bead there.

You can make as many petals as you need. The surface of the toothpick allows you to create an unusual relief on the petal, but for depth you can draw a few “scratches” from the center to the middle of the petal with the tip of the toothpick.

The lower part can be trimmed if necessary for the surface to be decorated.

If you do not have the entire color range of clay, then you can create it yourself. You just need to add a few drops of acrylic paint and crush the clay in your hands well. Just do not overdo it so that the clay does not lose all its properties and does not stick to your hands.

With the help of paint we can color the middle of our flowers.

Until the clay has dried in the middle, you can insert beads or beads - it is perfect for the size of the hole. We get beautiful flowers that can decorate any surface.
